Mixed relationship statuses is something that almost every couple goes through. Are we together already or just in the talking stage? Are we on good terms, or do we need to sort things out?
One thing that goes without question is how each partner in the relationship balances their personal freedom with their responsibilities toward each other.
A serious problem can arise when partners struggle to find the balance between having their own social life and being included in each other’s daily routines.
It’s great to spend quality time with your friends and social circles, but it’s problematic when you start disappearing from your partner’s life under the guise of “taking a break”.
What if there’s an emergency? It’s crucial to agree that in such situations, your partner should feel comfortable turning to you for support, no one else.
If you ever feel the need to take a step back and clear your mind, make sure to communicate it clearly. Discuss how long you might be unavailable and, most importantly, ensure that both of you are on the same page about it.
It’s never healthy for a relationship to be neglected under the excuse of being on a break. Do you agree? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
