Louisiana State Police have issued a warrant for the arrest of former LSU big receiver Kyren Lacy in connection with a fatal car crash on Dec. 17, 2024. The coincidence claimed the presence of 78-year-vintage antique guy Herman Hall , and left others injured. Lacey is charged with leaving the scene with out rendering assistance or contacting police.
Allegations and Charges
According to a news release from the Louisiana State Police, Lacy become allegedly driving a 2023 Dodge Charger along Louisiana Highway 20. He is accused of recklessly overtaking multiple vehicles at a high speed by crossing the centerline in a designated no-passing zone.
As Lacy attempted to bypass illegally, a northbound pickup truck swerved to keep away from a head-on collision, prompting a sequence reaction. A 2017 Kia Cadenza behind the pickup also swerved but crossed into the southbound lane, colliding head-on with a 2017 Kia Sorento.
The drivers of both the Kia Cadenza and Sorento suffered moderate injuries.
Police allege that Lacy, 24, drove around the crash scene without stopping to render resource, call emergency services, or record the incident.

State Police confirmed they’re in contact with Lacy and his lawyer, and preparations are being made for him to show himself in.

Lacy’s agent, Rocky Arceneaux, issued a statement asserting that his client is cooperating fully with authorities.
Lacy’s Football Career
Kyren Lacy played two seasons at Louisiana before transferring to LSU in 2022. In his most recent season, he recorded 58 catches for 866 yards and nine touchdowns. Just after two days of crash, he declared the NFL Draft on December 19.
