The heat didn’t let up. As MDLBEAST’s ONYX and AFT_r series rolled into its second weekend, the energy in Jeddah and Riyadh only got louder, prouder, and more unforgettable.
AFT_r made its return to the ANB Arena on Thursday night, turning Riyadh into a sonic battleground where global stars shared the stage with rising Saudi voices. Jeed opened with a fiery set laced with Arabic trap and raw charisma, while Saüd flexed a more melodic, R&B-infused sound rooted in local rhythm. Together, they didn’t just open the night — they owned it.
Then came the heavyweights. Quavo brought Southern swagger and hit after hit, while Metro Boomin proved why his beats have become the pulse of a generation, dropping a high-concept, cinematic set. Don Diablo closed the night in full throttle, serving euphoric drops and future house emotion that turned the arena into a dance floor at full tilt.
On Friday, it was Jeddah’s turn. ONYX Arena pulsed with anticipation — and delivered. Jeed and Saüd adapted their sets to the coastal crowd, with Jeed inviting comedian-turned-musician Moayed Alnefaie to the stage for a surprise moment that had the audience roaring. Metro Boomin turned heads with a powerful entrance in a traditional Saudi thobe, while Don Diablo and Quavo once again sent the crowd into overdrive.
