A serious crash on Thames Coast Road State Highway 25B is blocking traffic.
Police said in a statement the crash, involving two vehicles, happened around 5:40pm at Te Puru.
“One person has serious injuries and another has moderate injuries,” police said.
Motorists are advised to expect delays and postpone travel if possible.
