A series of photographs by David Slegers, captured in and around Los Angeles and Pasadena. Slegers explains the images “magnify the fact that the city (and the infrastructure therein), while supposed to bring security and comfort, often brings the opposite”. The work explores the inherent tension in seeking relief from a “harsh and inaccessible, and oftentimes resistant” environment that we’ve created for ourselves.
