Two school girls will start their summer holidays in hospital with broken bones after crashing their e-scooter into a car while allegedly not wearing a helmet on Thursday morning.
What was meant to be the last day of school for two Year Six students, has turned into a mad dash to the hospital after they crashed into a Nissan Patrol at the intersection of Farmaner Parkway and Birkett Circle in Ellenbrook at about 9am.

Witnesses say the girls weren’t wearing a helmet when they smashed into the four-wheel-drive while riding to school.
“I think it’s just a warning for all of us to be careful when we let our kids ride electrical scooters,” one witness told Sunrise.
Paramedics were called to the scene and provided first aid to the two students, who were surrounded by onlookers trying to help after the crash.
Police say an 11-year-old girl was taken to Perth Children’s Hospital with a broken leg, while the 13-year-old was taken to St John of God Midland with a broken pelvis.
The 39-year-old driver of the Patrol was not injured in the crash.
