Ezra Miller has officially made a second stop on their Tour de Damage Control.
The 29-year-old Justice League actor, who uses they/them pronouns, reportedly had a meeting during the week with executives at Warner Bros. in Burbank, California, and it’s understood the meeting was about keeping their upcoming DC film The Flash on track for its June 2023 premiere.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, who first broke the news, the meeting was positive and included Miller’s agent Scott Metzger and Warner Bros. film chairs Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy. During the meeting, the publication says Miller reassured the executives of their commitment to the franchise and apologised for bringing the film negative attention.

Neither Miller nor Warner Bros. have publicly commented on the meeting, or the state of the franchise.
Previously, crisis management PR expert Gary Rosen told People he suspected Warner Bros. is approaching the movie’s premiere with a “wait-and-see” mindset, as The Flash, which has an estimated budget of $US200 million (approx. $290 million), has already finished filming.
“It’s a huge investment, and the last thing Warner Bros. wants to do is have this [movie] go away,” Rosen told the publication in August. “For this to go on the shelf would be an enormous loss. I would think they want this movie to come out. And since it’s not scheduled to come out until June 2023, there’s time.”

Miller’s meeting on Wednesday came after they apologised for their recent behaviour, and announced they’re pursuing treatment for mental health issues.
“Having recently gone through a time of intense crisis, I now understand that I am suffering complex mental health issues and have begun ongoing treatment,” Miller said last week via their representative in a statement.
“I want to apologise to everyone that I have alarmed and upset with my past behaviour,” they added. “I am committed to doing the necessary work to get back to a healthy, safe and productive stage in my life.”
Since 2020, Miller has been at the centre of a series of crimes, controversies and scandals. They were caught on camera choking a woman outside a bar in Iceland – no charges were filed over that incident – and have since pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct in Hawaii following two separate incidents at a karaoke bar in March.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower star has also been accused of grooming a teenager from North Dakota – the teenager denied these claims – and was also issued a temporary harassment prevention order from a 12-year-old child and their family in Massachusetts.

Miller has also been accused of harbouring a 25-year-old woman and her three children at their Vermont farm, and, most recently, they were charged with felony burglary after allegedly stealing alcohol from another home in Vermont in May.
Warner Bros. has been facing backlash for potentially going ahead with The Flash amid Miller’s controversies, considering the studio cancelled the release of their almost completed Batgirl film in early August, and delayed the releases of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and Shazam! The Fury of Gods.
Miller has previously played Barry Allen aka The Flash in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), Suicide Squad (2016) and Justice League (2017), but 2023’s The Flash is set to be their first solo outing as the superhero.
The actor is also known for their work in the Harry Potter spinoff series Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, where they played Credence Barebone in the first film and two sequels, The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018) and The Secrets of Dumbledore (2022).
