For the past two years, Stacey Robertson has spread the word across the River Valley about Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund.
You may find her at a community event in Fort Smith or a chamber expo in Van Buren. No matter where she goes, Stacey shares how ASPSF helps single parents transform their families’ lives through higher education.
“I am passionate about the organization and the way it changes lives every day!” she said.

Stacey became involved with ASPSF because her own sister was a struggling single parent who didn’t have the opportunity to benefit from the resources of the organization.
“My sister passed away in 2016, and this was an excellent way to honor her memory,” Stacey said. “My family also created the Amy Robertson-Jackson Endowed Scholarship in 2021 to raise funds for student scholarships.”
Stacey, who works as a kindergarten teacher for Fort Smith Public Schools, said her favorite volunteer activity is planning the annual Trey Taylor Concert. Set this year for Aug. 12 at The Majestic in Fort Smith, the uplifting and entertaining event brings excitement to the mission of ASPSF through great music, food, and community involvement.

“Trey’s experience being raised by a single parent, along with his incredible talent and dedication to single parents, creates enthusiasm for our inspirational cause,” she said. “It also provides a great opportunity to secure the resources we need to support our scholarship recipients and assist them in achieving success not only for themselves but for generations to come.”
