Mahe
Those flying into the country will land at Victoria Seychelles Airport in Mahe, the ideal island to be based at. Here, you will find one of the world’s most photographed beaches, Anse Source d’Argent, though you get other picturesque shorelines to visit like Grand Anse or Anse Pierrot. You can take time to leisurely cycle around the island, hike along the Anse Cocos and Eagle’s Nest trails and explore L’Union Estate to gain insights into the country’s colonial history and see distinctive French colonial architecture.
Aride Island
A rather unique destination, Aride is a nature reserve and the northernmost island in Seychelles. It’s known as being a key habitat for seabird populations and is home to 18 native bird species and five that can only be found in the country. Look to stay at a resort in Mahe that will offer special helicopter excursions to this remote island complete with champagne as you take in the breathtaking views!
