Meru governor Kawira Mwangaza is finally taking the time to relax days after the Senate saved her from the impeachment instigated by Members of the County Assembly.

The female county boss has been at loggerheads with the ward reps since she took over the office in August 2022 over accusations of abuse of office, nepotism and others.

While sharing her new year message with Kenyans, the governor shared loved-up photos with her husband Murega Baichu and said that 2023 will be the year of praise for them.

Kawira Mwangaza’s posh home

At the backdrop of their heartwarming photos was their luxurious living room which painted a picture of the couple’s expensive taste in interior decor.

The couple owns luxurious brown seats that are uniquely designed.

Their sitting room’s wall decor which includes a mirror, a huge peacock-designed clock and their wedding photo, and a gypsum ceiling board gave the room a posh ambience.

Their huge dining table was also spotted in the picture shared as well as their open kitchen which was fitted with modern appliances.

Mwangaza was seen playing the trumpet while her husband’s guitar could be seen as they both enjoyed their time together.

Kawira Mwangaza saved from impeachment

This came two days after Mwangaza was acquitted by the Senate Special Committee chaired by Kakamega senator Boni Khalwale.

The 11-member special committee’s report tabled by Khalwale on the floor of the House noted that none of the allegations against the governor was substantiated.

Khalwale said that all the committee members had agreed that none of the six charges and 62 grounds fronted against her was proved by the members of the county assembly.
