Lucas tells Eustice to ‘cut the crap’ on sewage spills

In a urgent question on sewage pollution by UK water companies, Green Party MP Caroline Lucas told DEFRA secretary and the government to “cut the crap”.

This followed Eustice’s response in which he underlined to MPs his urgency in giving the issue “greater priority”.

Lucas, though, criticised the government’s response which she described as allowing water companies to “laugh all the way to the bank” while the UK is treated like an “open sewer”.
