An Adelaide man has been arrested and is expected to be charged with murder after returning to Australia from Cambodia.
Police allege the man was involved in the murder of Thea Kheav, who was stabbed to death at an 18th birthday party in Parafield Gardens, in Adelaide’s north on December 1, 2007.
Three men have already been convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison with a non-parole period of 20 years.
Police allege a fourth person was involved and fled Australia four weeks after the killing.
Detectives attempted to extradite him from Cambodia in 2008 but it was rejected by the Cambodian Supreme Court and he was released.
At 7.30 this morning, the formerly Salisbury North man returned to Melbourne on a flight from Bangkok, where he was arrested by police.
The man is expected to arrive in South Australia this evening.
