Mick Fuller deserves ‘a lot of praise’ for Chris Dawson case

Former NSW Police commissioner Mick Fuller deserves “a lot of praise” for what has unfolded with Chris Dawson’s guilty verdict, says 2GB radio host Ben Fordham.

The Australian’s National Chief Correspondent Hedley Thomas created the Teacher’s Pet podcast, which investigated the murder of Chris Dawson’s wife, Lynette.

Mr Fordham said he encouraged Mr Fuller to speak with Mr Thomas about the evidence that had been uncovered.

“I think Mick Fuller deserves some praise today, as well as the bloke who made all of this happen, Hedley Thomas from The Australian newspaper,” Mr Fordham told Sky News Australia.

“Without Hedley, there’s no way in the world Chris Dawson would be sitting in a jail cell right now.”

He said in the end, it is a “great result” for NSW Police after a “period of inaction” in the 1980s.
