A missing diver in Hicks Bay in Tairāwhiti has been found dead.
Emergency services were called this morning about 7.25am after a diver failed to surface, police said.
The diver was found unresponsive at about 3pm and could not be revived, police said.
Further details regarding the diver will not be released until family notifications have taken place.
