Mohanlal took to Instagram on Sunday to extend a warm birthday greeting to his Hridayapoorvam co-star Malavika Mohanan. Sharing his wishes via Instagram Stories, the actor added a personal touch to their budding camaraderie on and off screen. In response, Malavika expressed her gratitude with equal warmth. “Laletta, thank you. Hridayapoorvam has been one of my loveliest experiences and I cannot wait for the world to watch it,” she wrote.
The film marks Malavika’s first-ever collaboration with Mohanlal, making this Onam release particularly special for the actress. Their onscreen pairing, guided by the seasoned touch of director Sathyan Anthikad, is already generating buzz for its novelty and emotional depth.

A Story of Second Chances and Sentiments
Hridayapoorvam tells the story of a man who undergoes a heart transplant and must rebuild his life in its aftermath. Sathyan Anthikad, known for his deeply humane narratives, returns after nearly a decade to direct Mohanlal, making this their 20th collaboration. Their last outing was 2015’s Ennum Eppozhum, and their filmography together includes iconic hits like T.P. Balagopalan M.A., Sanmanassullavarkku Samadhanam, and Rasathanthram.
This time, Anthikad is working from a story penned by his son, filmmaker Akhil Sathyan (Pachuvum Athbutha Vilakkum), with dialogues by Sonu TP. Interestingly, the director’s younger son, Anoop Sathyan, is also part of the project, serving as associate director. With three filmmakers from the same family contributing, Hridayapoorvam carries the stamp of a deeply personal and emotionally grounded project.
The supporting cast includes seasoned performers such as Sangita, Siddique, Janardhanan, Lalu Alex, Baburaj, Nishan, and Sangeeth Prathap, promising a richly layered ensemble. With cinematography by Anu Moothedath and music composed by Justin Prabhakaran (Dear Comrade, Radhe Shyam), the film is expected to blend heartfelt storytelling with visual warmth and melodic depth.
