Emergency services attend the scene on the Moutere Highway on Tuesday night.
One person has died and two are in hospital after two cars collided on a Tasman highway on Tuesday night.
Police were notified about the serious two-vehicle crash on the Moutere Highway, Upper Moutere, at about 9.15pm.
The road was closed, with diversions in place.
Police have advised motorists to avoid the area.
