One month left to enter BeLambeth Awards to showcase best of the borough – South London News

The countdown ahead of the BeLambeth Awards has begun with just one month remaining for Lambeth businesses to showcase their employees’ skills and talent.

The BeLambeth Awards, organised by marketing agency White Label Creative, on behalf of Lambeth council is free to apply.

Businesses and residents have until May 31 to submit up to three entries across 10 categories. Applicants can also nominate an organisation or individual for an award.

A spokeswoman from White Label Creative said: “In the heart of London, Lambeth’s vibrant community has always been a tapestry of cultures, aspirations and talents.

“These awards celebrate the unsung heroes, the innovative thinkers, the brilliant employers and the tireless volunteers who weave the very fabric of Lambeth. They remind us that our community is not just a place to live, but a family to belong to.”

Spanning from the South Bank and Lambeth to Vauxhall, Brixton, Clapham and Streatham, the competition is open to everyone in the borough, from innovative start-ups to established enterprises and individuals of all backgrounds and ages.

Categories include Educational Institution of the Year, Commitment to Employee Training and Development, Inspirational STEM Employer, Creative and Digital Industries Award, Employer of the Year, Inclusive Employer of the Year, Sustainable Impact Award, Rising Star Award, Enterprising Young Person of the Year and Apprentice of the Year.

Throughout the categories the judges will be looking for schools with innovative teaching methods and community engagement, employers who foster an inclusive and supportive work environment, individuals and businesses contributing to local or global climate action initiatives as well as young, successful entrepreneurs and apprentices.

Supported by sponsors including the South London Press, APOCA, Bouygues UK, Breyer Group, NRT Group, Willmott Dixon, Brixton Business Improvement District, InStreatham, This is Clapham, Station to Station and WeAreWaterloo, the awards offer a platform for businesses of all sizes and sectors.

Bayo Dosunmu, chief executive of Lambeth council, said: “Following the success of our Lambeth Civic Awards earlier in the year, the Be Lambeth Awards will showcase our talented residents and celebrate businesses in the borough that are providing career opportunities including in our growth sectors.

“The awards will also provide an opportunity to recognise the organisations providing exceptional skills and employment support to local people.

“The BeLambeth Awards play a significant role in fostering this sense of togetherness, recognising the power of collective effort and fuelling the spirit of excellence that defines Lambeth. I am immensely proud of what our community and businesses have achieved, and I look forward to another year of celebrating the brilliance that is uniquely Lambeth.”

The clock is ticking, but there’s still time to join Lambeth’s most exciting celebration of entrepreneurship and enterprise. Don’t miss your chance to be part of the BeLambeth Awards 2024.

Enter now at BeLambeth Awards before the deadline on Friday, May 31, 2024.

Clear examples do more than decorate an explanation: they show how an idea behaves under recognizable conditions. In education and software documentation alike, strong illustrations begin with a defined goal, then reveal the steps, assumptions, and result without unnecessary detail. A practical test example should state the input, expected output, and boundary condition, because these elements show whether a rule works beyond the simplest case. Including a contrasting case also helps readers distinguish a valid application from a tempting but incorrect one, while concise notes explain why the outcomes differ. When examples are updated with current data and checked against the underlying rule, they remain useful across classrooms, product guides, and professional training.
