‘Only Murders in the Building’ Season 3—All We Know So Far

There is some amazing news for fans of Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building.

Just when you thought Mabel, Oliver, and Charles could not get themselves in any more trouble or linked to any more crimes, Only Murders in the Building is returning for Season 3 on Hulu and Disney+.

Hulu has announced the news just two weeks after Season 2 got started and already, fans are excited to see what drama will unfold next in The Arconia.

When Is Only Murders in the Building Season 3 Out?

At the moment, Only Murders in the Building Season 3 does not have an official release date.

However, it is looking very likely the third installment will land on screens in 2023. Judging by the release patterns of the last two series, Only Murders in the Building Season 3 could land in the summer.

Confirming the news, Hulu posted on their social media channels a video of a text exchange between Selena Gomez’s Mabel, Martin Short’s Oliver, and Steve Martin’s Charles.

In the podcast clip, jokingly titled “We’re Getting The Hang of This,” Charles and Mabel discuss returning for Season 3, with Oliver (in true Oliver fashion) not having a clue what is going on.

“Hey! Hope you’re enjoying season two of Only Murders In The Building,” Charles says, while Mabel adds: “Guess what? All of your favorite characters are gonna be returning for Season 3!”

Oliver then says: “Oh that’s so exciting! So you two knew that? No one’s told me…”

Hulu captioned the post: “My neighbors have a special message for you all: #OnlyMurdersInTheBuilding will return for Season 3! Now I just have to worry about who’s next… I hope it’s not me!”

In a statement, Craig Erwich, president of Hulu Origins and ABC Entertainment, said: “Only Murders in the Building is the true crown jewel of our slate. Its appeal across generations, the intersection of humor and heart, and its truly original approach are a hallmark of and testament to Dan, John, Steve, Marty, and Selena’s work. Who Will Return for Only Murders In The Building Season 3?

The entire main cast will be back for Only Murders in the Building Season 3.

This means Selena Gomez, Steve Martin, and Martin Short will once again join forces again as Mabel, Charles, and Oliver to bring the crimes of the Arconia to their podcast, aptly titled Only Murders in the Building.

Just like Seasons 1 and 2, Season 3 will most likely see the appearance of some iconic guest stars.

So far, Season 2 has seen Cara Delevingne, Amy Schumer, Michael Rapaport, and Shirley MacLaine make an appearance, and in Season 1, Amy Ryan, Nathan Lane, and Sting gave hilarious performances.

Once again, fans can expect to see some of their favorite Arconia residents and New York city legends back for Season 3… if they survive Season 2.

Look out for Da’Vine Joy Randolph as Detective Williams, Michael Cyril Creighton as Howard Morris, Tina Fey as Cinda Canning, and Jackie Hoffman as Uma Heller.

What Will Happen in Only Murders in the Building Season 3?

At the moment, it is hard to predict what will happen in Only Murders in the Building Season 3.

However, if the past two seasons are to go by, literally anything can happen.

In Season 2, Mabel, Oliver, and Charles find themselves as “persons of interest” in the murder of former Arconia Board Manager Bunny (played by Jayne Houdyshell).

They are innocent but of course but Mabel, Oliver and Charles do have their own theories on who is behind the crime from Arconia Board Manager Nina to Bunny’s mother, literally, anybody in The Arconia could fit the bill.

There is still a while to go before Season 2 comes to an end, with the finale premiering on Tuesday, August 23 so fans will have to wait and find out what will happen next.
