Orlando Pirates superstar Relebohile Mofokeng is a young man of the indoors. His childhood past put him off the streets and people.

Mofokeng might only have three goals and four assists in 28 appearances, but the 19-year-old’s ability to beat defenders is a joy to witness. He is so exciting even Kaizer Chiefs fans admit his quality. Speaking to iDiskiTimes’ leading reporter Velile Mnyandu last week, Mofokeng was asked about how he manages to avoid social pressure.
The Orlando Pirates star from Sharpville, Gauteng said he is simply a homeboy who fears the streets. “I grew up in the streets where people used to kill each other,” Mofokeng said, “which made me afraid to play in the streets. And now that I’m a bit famous I think I’m scared of people,” the attacker known as “Rele” concluded.

We love underdog success. Former Orlando Pirates players Linda Mntambo and Lehlohonolo Seema have won awards at Sekhukhune United. The duo are the new DStv Premiership Player and Coach of the Month. The Premier Soccer League announced the undisputed February winners as Mntambo scored three goals and provided two assists in five games. His coach, Seema, won an impressive five out of five matches.
TSHEGOFATSO MABASA HELPS ORLANDO PIRATES TO RECORD WIN
The Buccaneers were the best team have been the best team in South Africa last weekend after smashing Golden Arrows 7-1. Tshegofatso Mabasa played a starring role with three goals. The rest of the scorers included Relebohile Mofokeng, Kabelo Dlamini, Sandile Mthethwa and Karim Kimvuidi.
Following last weekend’s 2-1 shock loss to Sekhukhune United, the Sea Robbers responded in style as Arrows were put to the sword.

In the meantime, Mabasa’s next league match will be on 20 April when Orlando Pirates take on AmaZulu in Soweto. Mayo and Kwem both played on Sunday but failed to catch up with Mabasa after Cape Town City lost to AmaZulu at the DHL Stadium.
