Poco F6 Pro review – GSMArena.com tests

Introduction

Poco has always strived to deliver great value to its users. The F6 Pro is no exception. Since it bears the “Pro” moniker, it only makes sense that it has a slightly higher market and specs target. In fact, just like the Poco F5 Pro before it, the F6 Pro is sort of the “flagship” in Poco’s lineup. In order to deliver on the value front, it does include some concessions, like using last year’s top-tier Qualcomm chip instead of the newest one, which doesn’t really let it rub shoulders with the “traditional” 2024 lot of flagships. Even so, it is a very premium upper-midranger or even “flagship killer” that comes with an attractive price tag and very few practical compromises.

As we mentioned, the Poco F6 Pro is rocking last year’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. While it might not be the current cream of the crop, it is still an incredibly powerful chip that chews through any and every task with ease.

Xiaomi Poco F6 Pro specs at a glance:

  • Body: 160.9×75.0x8.2mm, 209g; glass back and front, aluminum frame, IP54 rating.
  • Display: 6.67″ AMOLED, 68B colors, 120Hz, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, 700 nits (typ), 1200 nits (HBM), 4000 nits (peak), 1440x3200px resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, 526ppi.
  • Chipset: Qualcomm SM8550-AB Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (4 nm): Octa-core (1×3.2 GHz Cortex-X3 & 2×2.8 GHz Cortex-A715 & 2×2.8 GHz Cortex-A710 & 3×2.0 GHz Cortex-A510); Adreno 740.
  • Memory: 256GB 12GB RAM, 512GB 12GB RAM, 1TB 16GB RAM; UFS 4.0.
  • OS/Software: Android 14, HyperOS.
  • Rear camera: Wide (main): 50 MP, f/1.6, 1/1.55″, 1.0µm, PDAF, OIS; Ultra wide angle: 8 MP, f/2.2; Macro: 2 MP, f/2.4.
  • Front camera: 16 MP, (wide).
  • Video capture: Rear camera: Yes; Front camera: 1080p@30/60fps, gyro-EIS.
  • Battery: 5000mAh; 120W wired, PD3.0, QC3+, 100% in 19 min (advertised).
  • Connectivity: 5G; Dual SIM; Wi-Fi region; BT 5.3; NFC; Infrared port.
  • Misc: Fingerprint reader (under display, optical); stereo speakers.

And it’s not just the chipset that shines on the Poco F6 Pro specs sheet. The phone also has a pretty great all-around 6.67-inch, 120Hz, AMOLED display with a 3200 x 1440-pixel resolution, 12-bit color depth, 3840Hz PWD dimming and an advertised astounding 4,000 nits of peak brightness.

The camera setup on the Poco F6 Pro is no slouch, either. Since last year’s model, the main camera has been swapped for a 50MP unit that is both bigger and brighter and offers OIS once again. You get an 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro alongside the main camera and a 16MP selfie.

We also can’t fail to mention some other interesting bits and pieces of the Poco F6 Pro, like the 120W HyperCharge fast charging support on its 5,000 mAh battery, which is only made sweeter by the fact that you get the charger in the retail box. You also get stereo speakers, IR blaster and NFC, to name just a few things.

Unboxing

The F6 Pro comes in a pretty standard two-piece cardboard box. It is all black with yellow lettering, in keeping with the brand’s traditional color scheme. The box is made of cardboard, and so are its internal cradles, including the one holding the phone. We only spotted a single plastic piece in the wrapper holding the phone itself. Other than that, top marks for being eco-friendly.

Poco F6 Pro review

You get a very rich accessory package with the Poco F6 Pro. It includes a 120W HyperCharge charger and an accompanying proprietary USB Type-A to Type-C cable. You should keep track of both if you want to charge the phone at full speed. Also in the box is a very nice, sturdy, reasonably thick, non-transparent black TPU case. Honestly, we couldn’t ask for anything more.

Clear examples do more than decorate an explanation: they show how an idea behaves under recognizable conditions. In education and software documentation alike, strong illustrations begin with a defined goal, then reveal the steps, assumptions, and result without unnecessary detail. A practical test example should state the input, expected output, and boundary condition, because these elements show whether a rule works beyond the simplest case. Including a contrasting case also helps readers distinguish a valid application from a tempting but incorrect one, while concise notes explain why the outcomes differ. When examples are updated with current data and checked against the underlying rule, they remain useful across classrooms, product guides, and professional training.
