With six teams on bye this week, it’s even more challenging to make NFL Week 14 predictions in 2022 than it’s been during most weeks this season.
For starters, we had fewer choices when making our NFL picks for today. On top of that, seven of the 13 games are between division rivals, where things tend to be a little more unpredictable.
NFL Week 14 predictions 2022

Of course, those are just some of the challenges we faced when making our NFL Week 14 picks. But we’re not ones to back down from a challenge, especially when making our NFL picks against the spread and NFL picks straight up.
After taking a close look at the schedule for this weekend, here are our NFL Week 14 predictions for the 2022 season.

Texans vs Cowboys
This is a lot of points to eat in an NFL game, but looking at the best NFL picks for today, Dallas covering against the Texans is the right choice. In their last five games, the Cowboys are averaging 39.8 points per game, scoring at least 40 points in three of those games.
Even if Lovie Smith has made Houston’s defense respectable this year and even if the Texans have only lost one game by more than 17 points this season, the Cowboys look capable of covering the spread in this game.
It’s not just about a Dallas offense that’s red-hot. Micah Parsons is the leader of the pack in NFL DPOY odds and is leading a defense that’s allowing just 17.2 points per game. Unfortunately for the Texans, 17 points might be their ceiling in this game.
The Texans have scored more than 17 points just once in their last eight games, so it doesn’t seem likely that they’ll get to that mark against the Cowboys. That should make it possible for Dallas to win going away and cover this massive spread.

Eagles vs Giants
We’ll step out on a limb with our NFL Week 14 predictions for 2022 and bet on the Giants to pull off the upset this week. The G-Men have won their last two home games against the Eagles despite being far worse than the team we’ve seen this season.
At the same time, the Eagles are just 1-4 against the spread on the road this season. They’ve not been able to dominate away from home, so the Giants can surely keep this game close with the way they’ve played at home this season.
But even with just one win in their last five games, the Giants will find a way to win a game that they have to win. The G-Men can run the ball and play solid defense, which makes them a tough team at home. They’ve had a knack for coming from behind at home this season. Since the Eagles will struggle to put them away, look for the Giants to pull off a fourth-quarter comeback win.

Jets vs Bills
Earlier this season, the Bills lost to the Jets as heavy road favorites. But that result isn’t going to impact our NFL Week 14 picks. The Bills had a little bit of a rough stretch, although they’ve bounced back with three straight wins.
They got back to their old ways in last week’s 24-10 road win over the Patriots. Buffalo also had a little extra time after back-to-back Thursday games, giving Josh Allen a little extra rest for his ailing elbow.
In fairness, the Jets fought hard against the Vikings last week. While Mike White has provided a little bit of a spark, he also threw two interceptions last week.
Poor ball security will come back to haunt any team against the Buffalo defense, which should make the Jets a little nervous. While the Jets have played well on the road this year, they’ve lost their last two games on the road, both of which have come against winning teams. That will be the same situation this week, as the Jets will falter, allowing the Bills to win and cover.

Browns vs Bengals
This is a tough game to call because the Bengals might be the hottest team in the NFL after last week’s win over the Chiefs. Joe Burrow is quickly moving up the pecking order with regard to NFL MVP odds after leading Cincinnati to four straight wins and six wins in the team’s last seven games.
The caveat is that Cincy’s only loss during that stretch was a 32-13 loss to the Browns.
In fact, the Browns have won eight of their last nine games against the Bengals, including three of their last four trips to Cincinnati. Somehow, the Browns have dominated this rivalry in recent years. They also have a little positive momentum after back-to-back wins. With Deshaun Watson back in the fold, it’s a little easier to get behind the Browns as underdogs in this matchup. But it’s also tough to bet against the red-hot Bengals.

Panthers vs Seahawks
This might be the easiest of our NFL Week 14 predictions in 2022. Even with a couple of recent home wins against subpar teams, the Panthers are still winless on the road this year. Three of those five road losses came by at least 10 points.
We expect that to be the case again this week when the Panthers venture across the country and visit one of the most intimidating road venues in the league.
More importantly, we’re jumping back on the Geno Smith bandwagon after last week’s win over the Rams, preventing Seattle from suffering a three-game losing streak.
Even if the Seahawks have been far from perfect at home this season, they have a top-five offense and should be motivated with a playoff spot a distinct possibility for them. Behind Sam Darnold, the Panthers won’t be able to keep pace with Seattle’s offense, enabling the Seahawks to win and cover.
