Imelda Staunton plays Queen Elizabeth in the fifth and sixth series of The Crown.
Staunton, who is best known for her role as Dolores Umbridge in the Harry Potter films, bears a striking resemblance to the Queen, especially when Her Majesty was in her sixties.
Production on Season 6 of The Crown is expected to be shut down following the death of the monarch.
Peter Morgan, writer of the Emmy-winning Netflix drama, confirmed to Deadline that filming will stop “out of respect”.
“The Crown is a love letter to her and I’ve nothing to add for now, just silence and respect. I expect we will stop filming out of respect too,” he told the publication.
