For a few days now, the name Quickmart Ivanka has been trending top on Twitter, leaving a section of netizens scratching their heads to ‘decode’ it.

Apparently, TUKO.co.ke has established that it is President William Ruto’s daughter Charlene Ruto’s new moniker.

It is worth noting that the ever-smiling first daughter has been traversing the country and engaging different county government officials while at it.

However, her whirlwind and highly publicised tours raised eyebrows considering that she was not, to a large extent, actively involved in her father’s presidential campaigns.

Some netizens questioned her motive, while others wondered she was making the engagements in which capacity on whose budget.

Notably, similar concerns were raised when former United States president Donald Trump was first elected and his daughter, Ivanka, attended official meetings with him.

Trump would later appoint her to an official government role, the director of the Office of Economic Initiatives and Entrepreneurship.

Just like Ivanka, Charlene is equally involved in her father’s government. This might be the reason why netizens have nicknamed her Ivanka.

For Quickmart, just as she has been travelling across the country, the supermarket has been opening new branches in almost every town.

This is an assumption; the person who gave her the monicker is yet to reveal the reasoning behind the name.

Charlene donates food

In other news, Charlene delighted people with her humility after visiting pupils at Langata Primary School and breaking bread with them.

The first daughter shared that she was amused to see high school students from Kenya High who had donated foodstuff from their pockets to help the pupils at Langata Primary.

She shared photos of herself enjoying a meal in school with the little kids who surrounded her as they tried to get close to the president’s daughter.

In one of the photos, Charlene, dressed in a maroon top and black trousers, was sitting on the floor with the kids while sharing bread with them.
