Richards Bay FC Officially Parts Ways with Dimitar Pantev
Richards Bay FC has made the decision to terminate the contract of head coach Dimitar Pantev, effective immediately.
Pantev took charge on September 21, tasked with revitalizing a struggling squad following the resignation of former coach Ronnie Gabriel, who stepped down amid disappointing early-season results.
However, the appointment has not yielded the desired turnaround, as The Natal Rich Boyz continued to falter under Pantev’s leadership.
During his brief tenure, Pantev oversaw three competitive fixtures, all of which resulted in defeats for the team.
Richards Bay FC first faced a significant setback, losing 4-1 to Mamelodi Sundowns in league action, followed by a 3-1 defeat to Sekhukhune United in the Carling Knockout Cup. Most recently, the team lost 3-1 to PSL newcomers Kruger United.
As it stands, Richards Bay FC is the only side in the Premier Soccer League without a win after nine matches, sitting precariously at the bottom of the league standings with just three points.
