A search has been launched for a jet ski fisherman missing at Kawakawa Bay, south east of Auckland.
Police Inspector Jason Homan said the man left from the boat ramp in Kawakawa Bay on Saturday, but had not returned.
The Police Maritime section will join other officers searching the area today, and Coastguard plane and the police Eagle helicopter will search from the air.
Homan asked people in the Franklin area, the Seabird Coast and Firth of Thames to keep a eye out for the man, or any floating debris, fishing gear or jet ski gear.
He said anyone who finds anything should note down the GPS coordinates and report them, to help the searchers.
Sightings or GPS data should be reported to police on 111, or by calling Coastguard Radio, or phoning *500.
