Chris Dawson’s daughter has shared a cryptic post on social media about pain and suffering after he was found guilty of murdering her mother.
Shanelle Dawson, 44, shared a poem by David Whyte on her Facebook page.
“It’s still possible in the end to realise why you are here and why you have endured, and why you might have suffered so much,” the post read.
“So that in the end, you could witness love, miraculously arriving from nowhere, crossing bravely as it does, out of darkness.
“From that great and spacious stillness inside you, to the simple, light-filled life of being said.”
Messages of support were posted in response, with friends describing Ms Dawson as “brave” and “constantly in our thoughts”.
“Thinking of you Shanelle, with lots of love, keeping you in my thoughts and heart,” one friend wrote.
Another person wrote: “Thinking of you Shanelle, beautiful poem that you’ve shared.”
It comes after NSW Supreme Court Justice Ian Harrison found on Tuesday that Dawson, 74, murdered his wife Lynette in January 1982.
Lynette, 33, vanished from the family’s Bayview home and her body has never been found.
Shanelle Dawson was aged four when her mother disappeared.
Dawson has always maintained his innocence.
It was revealed in court on Thursday that Dawson had been subjected to death threats since being in prison.
