Mamelodi Sundowns senior coach Manqoba Mngqithi’s future at the club remains uncertain.
His contract comes to a close at the end of the current season however the ball is entirely in Tlhopie Motsepe’s court.

The club have the option of triggering his contract extension come May.
Mngqithi was demoted from a co-coaching position he ‘shared’ with Rhulani Mokwena at the beginning of the season after the team’s stuttering start to the DStv Premiership.
Sundowns are now flying, under the guidance of Mokwena, but what next for Manqoba?
The latest transfer reports suggest a rival PSL club are waiting on Sundowns to take a decision on their demoted coach!

Sundowns coach linked with PSL rival
AmaZulu recently took the decision of demoting Romain Folz as their head coach. Folz is now the technical director of the club meaning there’s room for a blockbuster new head coach arrival….
And club president Sandile Zungu has since opened up on the potential return of Manqoba Mngqithi at the club…
“The possibility of Manqoba Mngqithi is a mouth-watering one indeed for AmaZulu.” Sandile Zungu Radio 2000 regarding the Sundowns coach as quoted by FarPost.
“He would be no stranger to the club, having coached here before. But we must also respect the fact there’s an option on his current contract, and we must then respect his employers.”
In other local news, Kaizer Chiefs attacker Ashley Du Preez has opened up on his maiden campaign at the club.
While many expected fireworks, despite showing signs of the promise the attacker has been largely underwhelming for Zwane.

The attacker himself has admitted that his output is indeed worrying while claiming he aims to score in EVERY remaining match.

Du Preez makes bold goal scoring target
“I think I can do more, I’m not happy at the moment. There are six games to go and a cup game. My goal is to score in every game.” the Kaizer Chiefs attacker said as quoted by FarPost.
“I haven’t achieved my goal, but at the beginning my goal was to score 10 goals in the season. I’m on four goals in the league, in all competitions I think seven.
“I think I just need to learn to score more goals and practise.”
