The final suspect wanted in relation to a fatal stabbing in Brisbane is still on the run after a third man was charged in relation to the “horrific” attack.
Police have intensified their search for Kyle Martin, 24, who is wanted for the alleged murder of Levi Johnson.
Johnson, 23, was allegedly stabbed to death after he was allegedly attacked in the carpark of Mansfield gym on Pine Mountain Rd on Monday.
Four men allegedly smashed their way into his car with a crowbar before two of them chased him across the road, where he was allegedly stabbed multiple times in the chest.
Johnson died at the scene.
Queensland Police detectives last week arrested and charged Luke Thomas Moore and Stuart Galloway, both aged 34, with one count of murder each.
Detectives on Friday night arrested a third man in relation to Johnson’s alleged murder.
Police cornered Thomas Myler, 35, and a 31-year-old woman during a raid at a home in Wellington Point in Brisbane’s east after being tipped off by the public.
A police helicopter had tracked a vehicle from the address to a property in Chandler, where it is alleged the pair buried a number of firearms before driving the vehicle back to the house in Wellington Point.
Police said they searched both properties and allegedly seized a number of firearms.
Myler was charged with one count of murder (serious organised crime) and was due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Saturday morning.
The woman, believed to be Myler’s girlfriend, was being questioned by detectives to determine whether she or anyone else was involved in helping him hide from police.
Police continue to appeal to Martin to contact them and hand himself in, and to the public for information regarding his whereabouts.
Queensland Police Detective Superintendent Andrew Massingham said Johnson’s alleged murder, which was captured in dashcam and CCTV footage, was a “horrific” and “brutal” offence.
“I consider each of these individuals to be equally as dangerous,” he told reporters on Friday night after Myler’s arrest.
Mr Massingham said he thought time was “quickly running out for” Martin, who is believed to be hiding locally.
Mr Massingham said authorities were on alert in case Martin attempted to flee interstate.
“We have three in custody. I’m confident within the coming days we’ll be able to place the fourth one into custody,” Mr Massingham said.
Police have urged anyone who sees Martin not to approach him and to instead immediately call triple-0.
The investigation continues.
