Toya Johnson and Robert “Red” Rushing tied the matrimonial knot with their closest family members and friends supporting them all the way this past weekend. The celebrity couple’s wedding ceremony was held in Cabo San Lucas.
Toya’s oldest daughter, Reginae Carter, joined several other women in serving as part of her mom’s bridal party. Monica as well as Tiny Harris were also among those included in the group.
Toya called her bridal party “the baddest bride squad” after she and Red tied the knot. “My girls look amazing,” she exclaimed in reference to a picture she shared that featured Toya with her bridal party. “I love each and every one of you,” Johnson wrote to her squad. “Thanks for helping make our day extra special. We love y’all so much.”
Robert “Red” Rushing proposed to Toya Johnson in 2020. The businessman gave his then-girlfriend an evening to remember as he took her out to dinner and on a helicopter ride. It was during the helicopter ride that Red decided to pop the question. Toya was caught completely off guard as she was not expecting “Will You Marry Me?” to be spelled out on the landing pad.
“I cannot stop crying,” Toya said after Red’s proposal. “This is so beautiful,” she added. “I’m so shocked. I’m surprised. I really did not see this coming,” Johnson shared.
Red and Toya’s wedding ceremony was also beautiful with the perfect scenery and the best people serving to make the event a success. Toya and Red’s daughter, Reign Rushing, was the flower girl who was nothing short of fabulous.
“Finally got my fairytale ending,” Toya said of her ceremony and marriage to Red. “Everything was absolutely perfect,” Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA) star Porsha Williams exclaimed. “You deserve it all,” she continued. “Stunning bride.”
