A delegation from Xinhua, China’s state-run news agency, led by Yuan Bingzhong, Deputy President of Xinhua News Agency, paid a visit to the headquarters of Daily News Egypt in Cairo, on Sunday.
This visit highlights the strong and strategic ties between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the People’s Republic of China, as well as the ongoing media and press exchange between the two institutions.
The Xinhua delegation was warmly received by Daily News Egypt’s Executive Editor Mohamed Samir Khedr.
“We are honoured to have Xinhua visit our headquarters and strengthen our ties with this esteemed news agency,” Khedr said.
During their visit, the Xinhua delegation was given a tour of the Daily News Egypt office and met with journalists. They also discussed the global media landscape and the importance of cooperation between the two media organizations in promoting cultural exchange and understanding between Egypt and China.
Yuan Bingzhong, Deputy President of Xinhua News Agency, expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome. “We are impressed with Daily News Egypt’s commitment to providing high-quality news and information to its readers,” said Bingzhong. “We look forward to continuing our cooperation with Daily News Egypt in the future.”
In 2019, the two institutions signed cooperation agreement for media and expertise exchange.
