The Lakers had the newly acquired players make their debut in the win against the Warriors (109-103). All of them played, except for Mo Bamba and Davon Reed.
Lakers head coach Darvin Ham was proud of the way his team played against the defending NBA champions, despite missing LeBron James.
“Just our guys’ communication,” Ham said. “They were out there talking each other, talking to new guys through some of the actions. At the end of the day the key is to put the ball in the hands of your best players. We were able to do that a little, played through A a little bit, Dennis, D’Angelo, all those guys, Rui had big moments.
“But us communicating to them and them communicating amongst themselves I think allowed for us to have a rhythm and some consistency.”
