A Madison, Wisconsin man stabbed over the weekend in Homewood died of his injuries, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
At 3:01 a.m. Saturday, Homewood police responded to a call of a person stabbed in the 19100 block of Pierce Court.
Officers found the man with a stab wound and officers and the Homewood Fire Department paramedics began treating him, according to a police news release. The man was taken to Advocate South Suburban Hospital.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified the man as Donnell Eugene Neal Jr., 33, of Madison. An autopsy performed Sunday found he died of a stab wound to the right thigh and his death was ruled a homicide.
Additional information on the man not was immediately available, and police could not be immediately reached for comment Monday.
