Afro-fusion star, Burna Boy has given reasons for his silence regarding Nigeria’s general elections.
In post shared on his IG stories on Monday, February 27th, the ‘Ye’ hitmaker revealed that he doesn’t have any candidate he believes in.
He added that he has never supported any candidate because he doesn’t want to influence people’s choices and have them disappointed.
“I dunno why it’s such a big deal to some Nigerians that I’ve not been vocal about the elections. Personally, I don’t have a candidate that I believe in,” he wrote.
He continued: “I’ve never supported any political party or candidate in my life because I don’t want to make you vote and then blame me when the person f*cks up as usual. That being said, I hope all votes count and the best man wins.”
The Grammy winning singer had appealed to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure the presidential election results are not altered.
“Let Nigeria decide o! @inecnigeria! No try any result magic ,” he shared on Instagram.
