The trailer of the much-awaited Ek Villain Returns is out now. The movie stars John Abraham, Disha Patani, Arjun Kapoor, and Tara Sutaria in the lead roles. It is directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapoor. It is scheduled to release on the 29th of July this year.
The trailer begins with a recap of the first film Ek Villain that starred Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh and Shraddha Kapoor. We are then slowly introduced to the characters of the sequel, and it is revealed that a killer is on the loose. The killer targets women who refuse to reciprocate their stalker’s love. We gradually find out that John Abraham and Arjun Kapoor are in a face off. Tara Sutaria and Disha Patani, the female leads also play strong villainous roles.
Talking to the press about his upcoming release, Mohit Suri said, “Ek Villain was my passion project and a labour of love. The kind of love that I still receive for Ek Villain overwhelms me. I am sure with Ek Villain Returns, the love is only going to grow bigger. And while I cannot reveal much about the film, I can assure that it is going to be a thrilling rollercoaster ride.”
This movie marks the first time that John Abraham and Mohit Suri are collaborating. On the other hand, Arjun Kapoor has previously worked with the director in Half Girlfriend. Meanwhile, Disha Patani has starred in his last directorial Malang.
Alexandra Daddario and Andrew Form are married! The lovebirds, who got engaged in Aug. 2021, shared their exclusive wedding photos with Vogue, which you can see here. Alexandra looked gorgeous at the “laid back” nuptials, wearing a Danielle Frankel gown. The dress had flowers embroidered throughout, as did her long and stunning veil. Meanwhile, Andrew wore a white, striped suit for the ceremony.
The two look blissfully happy in their wedding photos. Alexandra’s hair was pulled back into an intricate updo, with diamond bracelets and red lipstick adding some flair to her wedding day look. They posed in various locations before heading to the venue, which appeared to have a low-key, rustic vibe. “I was so nervous, I didn’t even notice the incredible flowers until I saw the photos,” Alexandra admitted.

In the Vogue profile, Alexandra also shared more about her relationship with Andrew, which began in 2020. The two actually met on the streets of New York City. She was staying in town while waiting to be approved by a co-op, and he was in the Big Apple waiting for a connecting flight. Since it was the midst of COVID-19, the normally busy street was quite empty, and they struck up a conversation, during which he asked her to dinner.
The White Lotus star revealed that she and Andrew first agreed to marry each other in April 2021, although he didn’t propose until August. They chose New Orleans for their wedding after Alexandra recalled attending “the most amazing” wedding for two of her friends there. “It’s a city full of music and life!” she gushed.
Althoguh Alexandra and Andrew have been engaged since August 2021, news of their pending nuptials didn’t break until December. The two have been mostly low-key throughout their relationship, although she first confirmed they were dating with a May 2021 Instagram post. Andrew was previously married to Jordana Brewster, who he has two kids with. They split in 2020.
It ain’t all just ice cream and lovey-dovey dates with Gisele for Tom Brady while on vacation in Italy … he’s clearly prepping for his NFL season as well — hitting workouts on a yacht with no shirt on!
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers star was seen this week on a boat in Portofino getting in a serious sweat sesh … sparring topless and also riding a stationary bike.

That’s because Sarah Hyland is set to host Peacock‘s new Love Island USA, E! News can exclusively announce. Based on the hugely popular U.K. reality dating show of the same name, the NBCU streamer’s new iteration promises “naughtier games and sexier challenges” when it premieres July 19.
Or as E!’s exclusive preview teases, “Fasten your seatbelts, it’s going to be a wild ride.”
One the Modern Family star says she’s “so, so excited” to join.
“Love Island is such an iconic show and I love the dating reality space,” she exclusively told E! News. “I’m just so thrilled and honored to be a part of this…They always have the hottest people on their show.”
Not that she’s just here to witness the drama and hookups.
“I really love that the girls, for the most part, stick together and really bond and stand up for one another,” she shared. “As a woman, I love it when I get to see that on television. But I definitely know that we’re going to have a lot of unexpected surprises and unpredictable twists that we’ve never seen. We’re pushing the boundaries this time around.”
Setting the scene as 1976 (it’s the bicentennial!) as the movie begins, the film features a bountiful array of songs from the period, a touch likely to be mostly lost on the target audience, unless they’re inordinately familiar with disco hits and the Rolling Stones’ “You Can’t Always Get What You Want.” (Of course, dutiful grandparents who take on the challenge of squiring them will be unexpectedly rewarded with a trip down memory lane.)
The main problem, and structurally speaking it’s a significant one, is that director Kyle Balda and writer Matthew Fogel throw a bunch of different gags against the wall hoping a few will stick, which they do, while seriously neglecting to maintain the plot.
Basically, the premise is that near-12-year-old Gru (voiced by Steve Carell, again) is a budding supervillain fanboy, who yearns for an opportunity to join a sinister group known as the Vicious Six. They’re introduced via an Indiana Jones-like action sequence in which they acquire a mystical artifact while abruptly jettisoning their ostensible leader, Wild Knuckles (Alan Arkin), who vows revenge.
Gru thus finds himself caught between the two warring sides, while coming to the conclusion that his loyal sidekicks might not be ready to step up to the big leagues of criminality. “I just need to fly solo on this,” he tells them, bringing tears to their eyes (or eye).
Gru and the Minions thus take off on parallel tracks, which merely adds to the splintered nature of the story, which is unhelpfully crammed into a less-than-90-minute package. That includes detours to do things like learn kung fu (Michelle Yeoh incongruously pops up, one of the few celebrity voices to register) while sprinkling in callbacks to the earlier movies, a combination that yields fairly widely spaced moments of fun.
“Minions” certainly has to be evaluated in the modest context of what it’s trying to achieve — like fueling fast-food giveaways and toy sales — but even compared to the earlier movies in the franchise, this one feels particularly limited in its scope and ambitions.
For all that, the timing might be right for the movie’s delayed release, which, if true, would provide some welcome news for animation in theaters after Pixar’s “Lightyear” failed to achieve liftoff, commercially speaking.
Mostly, “The Rise of Gru” relies on how visually pleasing and malleable its title characters are, turning them into a kind of slap-happy Three Stooges for our times. Animation also makes it that much easier to appeal to kids’ sillier sides on that score — an advantage over real-life clowns that, alas, simply isn’t executed well enough to make them green (or even yellow) with envy.
“Minions: The Rise of Gru” premieres in US theaters on July 1. It’s rated PG.

Morgan Fairchild, who began her television career with a 1973-77 run as SEARCH FOR TOMORROW’s Jennifer and last appeared in daytime as DAYS’s Anjelica in 2017, appears on GH next week as HOME & HEART hostess Haven de Havilland, who welcomes Sasha to her show to talk up Deception products.
Fairchild was delighted when her team let her know GH had her in mind for the role. “They said they had this part and thought I’d be good for it and I was looking forward to the chance to work with everybody,” she says. “And you know, Joan Rivers and I were the first two celebrities that had product lines on QVC back in the late ’80s, so I’m familiar with the genre and with how it all works. I felt like I had a leg up about how she would present, how things would come across and what the format would be. That put me in good stead, those old days of prep work. And it was such a great script. My character is very fun and over-the-top — my usual over-the-top thing! And a little bit mean, which I can play falling off a log at this point in my life [laughs].”
On the day of taping, Fairchild marveled at how differently today’s soaps are produced. “Back when I started out on SEARCH FOR TOMORROW, you kind of went the whole run of the show, and if the scenery didn’t fall over on you, that was it!” she muses. “You just went scene after scene after scene. Now, they shoot it more like a [prime-time] series or a movie, where you shoot all the [segments] on one set and if something goes wrong, you have the chance to start it over.”
But the gig still came with a directive to shoot as fast as possible. She reports, “The director and producer had said to me that it was a very ambitious couple of episodes for them because they had to get a lot of scenes done on those particular sets. So we were moving very quickly, and it was such a fast day, I barely had time to sit down between scenes or get a cup of coffee or anything. I was very touched, because several people came up to me and said, ‘You know, most people can’t keep up with this when they first come on! We’re glad you’re keeping up!’ That made me feel good. But we did the same kind of thing on THE CITY [where she played Sydney]. They would set up my set and we would shoot, like, six episodes of everything that was on my set, so I would have 52 pages of dialogue to learn the night before. So, I’m used to shooting that way. This was just a little extra-fast because they were under the gun to get it done.”
She was greatly impressed by the behind-the-scenes professionals at GH. “What a supportive team,” she raves. “The director, Phideaux [Xavier], was just fabulous and the producers were so supportive. Like I said, people kept coming over and were so gracious and welcoming, telling me, ‘We’re so glad to have you here.’ Everyone was just terrific.” Ditto her scene partners, which included Sofia Mattsson (Sasha) and Lynn Herring (Lucy). “The other actors really gave their all. One of the girls [in the cast] had a very emotional scene in there and it was great. Lynn was so gracious and lovely. What I saw with DAYS OF OUR LIVES and with this is the way that everybody is just such a tight team. Everybody is in the same boat and tries to help each other out. At one point, I was smoothing somebody’s hair just before a scene because I saw something sticking out. It was great to get to work with everybody and feel like part of their team. Everybody on the crew made me feel so at home and you really appreciate that when you’re the new kid. Even if you’ve been doing this for decades, that first day when you walk on set, you don’t know anybody, you don’t know where hair and makeup is, so it really is appreciated to be so warmly welcomed. It really does make a difference.”
Fairchild was relieved that her scenes went off without a hitch. “I had a couple of long paragraphs and I was just wondering, ‘Am I going to get through this?’ ” she admits. “You know they’re going to move fast and you really want to get it in one take, if you possibly can, so I was a little nervous, wondering if I would keep up. So I was very gratified.”
While they didn’t work together, she enjoyed a reunion with one of her co-stars from THE CITY. “Lisa LoCicero [Olivia; ex-Jocelyn, THE CITY] is an old friend and it was so great to see her,” Fairchild enthuses. “Her dressing room was right next to mine, and she said, ‘Come and stop over when you have a break!’ I never had a break until I was finished, but when I was done for the day, I got to sit in her dressing room for a while and catch up and chat for about 45 minutes. She’s a lovely girl. I got to see pictures of her kids and it was just great to see how well she’s doing.”
The actress says she always appreciates the chance to dip back into her daytime roots. “It was just great training for me, and I’ve always said, if you can do daytime, you can do anything!” she declares. “The amount of work, the amount of dialogue, the way it comes at you so fast and you have to think on your feet. It’s fun to see the way it’s changed over the decades. The stories are so interesting and more diverse with their casting; now it looks like real America. It’s great to be part of it! And please let everybody know how much I appreciate all the fan support.”

The ‘Graveyard’ singer – who is pro-choice – was performing at the Ak-Chin Pavilion in Phoenix, Arizona on Sunday (26.06.22) when they gave an impassioned speech about the US Supreme Court’s controversial decision to reverse the landmark ruling, making it illegal for millions of women across America to have an abortion.
They said at the concert: “The truth is that my heart breaks looking out into this audience because I see so many people who deserve to have incredible lives, who deserve the right to healthcare that they need, who deserve the right to choose themselves in a situation where there is a choice.
“I’m hoping every single one of you, and I don’t want you to ever have to be in a situation where you don’t have access to that.”
They added: “If you don’t like it, I don’t know why you came to a Halsey concert, because I’ve never been shy that this is how [I feel].”
The ’11 Minutes’ singer is said to have shouted “my body” with audience members chanting back “my choice”.
However, seemingly not all gig-goers were impressed.
One attendee tweeted: “The amount of people who just walked out of the Halsey concert after ‘Nightmare’ when she spoke about abortion was sickening.”
And Halsey responded: “Downside of doing outdoor venues: no door to hit them on the way out.”
They went on: “I’m running out of ways to word and frame the severity of the impact that fundamentalism has on our country.
“Need a little bit of time to speak to some people with more authority and experience than me and gather my thoughts.”
She added: “I don’t want to just contribute to antagonistic noise.
