WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark is in the Bay Area and drawing crowds before even stepping onto the hardwood.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Indiana Fever superstar took advantage of an off day to catch some MLB action at Oracle Park.

Unfortunately, she had to sit through Giants baseball, but McCovey Cove’s picturesque views certainly made the detour worth it.

Clark and her boyfriend, former Iowa basketball player Connor McCaffery, were spotted sitting in the premium owners’ seats next to the San Francisco Giants’ dugout during their game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Naturally, the TV cameras found her immediately. Clark sported a silver-scripted “SF” Giants hat.

To further showcase her WNBA star power, Clark’s appearance at Oracle only added more buzz to Thursday night’s highly anticipated matchup at Chase Center, where the Fever will face the Valkyries.

The matchup will bear some tension following last Friday’s heated game, when Clark silenced critics by returning from a back injury to post 22 points and nine assists in an Indiana victory.

After clashing with Clark during the game, Hayes was caught on a hot mic complaining that officials were favoring the Fever star.

Hayes later drew criticism online after interacting with hostile posts about Clark, including one exchange where she appeared to laugh at a fan suggesting a physical threat against the Fever star.

WNBA fans have since called for disciplinary action from a league that critics say has repeatedly looked the other way when tensions involving Clark boil over.

Ali Larter is recharging with a makeup-free selfie and some family time.

In a new Instagram post, the 50-year-old actress shared snippets from her peaceful weekend, which included photos of her out in nature, hanging out with her friends and with her children.

“Weekend recharge with loves that fill my heart and mind!” she captioned the post.

One of the photos in the carousel of pictures was a makeup-free selfie – which shows the actress posing in nature with a serious expression on her face.

The actress wore a white button-down collared shirt with black lines forming patterns throughout in the photo, which she paired with a sunhat and a diamond necklace.

Another photo showed her two children sitting in front of a seafood platter while out to dinner.

This post comes just one week after she shared multiple photos of herself enjoying some time in nature in the mountains of Idaho as she hiked with her dogs.

Larter shares two children, Theodore, 15, and Vivienne, 11, with her husband, actor Hayes MacArthur, who she married in August 2009 after they first met on set of the movie, “Homo Erectus,” in 2007.

The two moved to Idaho with their children in 2020 during the pandemic lockdown, with Larter telling Fox News Digital in November 2025, they initially planned on being there for two months but ended up moving there for good.

“So, we went for two months thinking the kids’ schools would be reopened in California and they weren’t. They were doing online,” she said. “So we were able to put our six-year-old daughter in kindergarten for the spring semester and that was a huge thing for us because we just wanted her to be around other children and have that kindergarten experience.”

Since moving, Larter has met some “amazing families” and gets to spend a lot of quality time with them.

Larter began starring as Angela Norris in the hit Paramount + show, “Landman,” in 2024, playing Billy Bob Thornton’s ex-wife, in a show which focuses on the struggle between billionaires and roughnecks in West Texas trying to get rich in the oil industry as it continues to take over the state.

Her character is often seen on camera in bikinis and other revealing clothing, with Larter telling People in January that she doesn’t enjoy filming those scenes.

“Those are the hardest for me,” she said. “I don’t enjoy them. It’s just part of the story that I’m telling, and I’m an actress, so I get on board. But those are definitely my least favorite.”

Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna has social media going crazy after a recent post on X.

The congresswoman from Florida is known for regularly sharing viral content online. It’s one of the reasons she has such a recognizable brand.

On what planet do ICE agents fire tear gas at a United States senator?

Um, that would be this planet, I guess.

Sen. Andy Kim, a New Jersey Democrat, was trying to play a mediating role between protestors and a hunger strike being conducted at the ICE detention center, Delaney Hall, in Newark.

Kim was allowed in only after calling Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin, a former Senate colleague. 

Here’s what Kim described on Facebook:

“18-year-old high school student crying and saying she just wanted to graduate senior year.”

“Woman who had a miscarriage and left to manage all on her own.”

“Mom not allowed to spend more than a few minutes with 4-month-old baby.”

It went on in that vein.

“Our government should focus on helping Americans afford their lives, not lock people up in for-profit detention centers,” he said.

Outside, the senator positioned himself between ICE agents and the demonstrators, holding up his arms, according to NJ.com. The agents fired their chemical irritants anyway, hitting Kim and many in the crowd. Medics were later photographed washing out Kim’s eyes.

New Jersey’s new governor, Democrat Mikie Sherrill, showed up and was refused entry to the detention center.

“What I heard from them was heartbreaking,” Sherill said, referring to family members and advocates.

What are these people trying to hide, anyway? Turning away the state’s governor?

Sherill said she has heard from relatives of detainees who have complained about spoiled food and lack of medical care.

Mullin accused Sherill, Cory Booker and other Jersey Democrats of “smearing ICE law enforcement” and said there was no hunger strike or substandard conditions at the center. “They should be thanking our law enforcement for removing these murderers, pedophiles, rapists and drug traffickers from their state.”

After the tragic fatal shootings of two American citizens, ICE has been out of the news for a while. That was the goal of Mullin, who said he would keep a low profile, in marked contrast to his fired predecessor, Kristi Noem.

He has also adopted some reforms, such as requiring agents to obtain a search warrant before entering a home, which would have avoided several embarrassing episodes of wrong addresses and mistaken identities.

As Mullin said at his confirmation hearing in March, “My goal in six months is that we’re not in the lead story every single day.” The White House wants to play down the volatile issue heading into the midterms.

A major problem has been poorly trained agents who were allowed to join the force with a shortened 47-day training program. Mullin restored the standard 72-day curriculum.

Look, most ICE agents are trying to do a dangerous job under difficult conditions. Hundreds of people have been charged with assaulting or impeding a federal officer.

What makes matters worse are claims that some ICE agents haven’t received their full paychecks or a promised $50,000 sign-up bonus.

I’m not wild about for-profit detention centers, but what choice do they have? There aren’t enough prison cells to hold all these detainees. Delaney Hall, for instance, holds up to 1,000 of them.

An attorney says 74 cases were assigned to one judge on a single day.

But substandard care is unacceptable. We often hear the phrase “no one is above the law.”

If ICE was proud of these facilities, why are they blocking people like the governor from coming in? We talk about inspections of Iranian nuclear development — why isn’t Delaney Hall open for top elected officials to see how taxpayer dollars are being spent inside? Federal and state prisons are inspected all the time.

This should be a requirement for anyone running these places. And they’ve obviously got plenty that they want to keep secret.

Alex Mealer, an Army combat veteran and energy executive backed by President Donald Trump, is one step closer to winning election to the House.

Mealer defeated state Rep. Briscoe Cain, R-Texas, in a GOP primary runoff election for a Houston-based congressional seat Tuesday, according to The Associated Press.

The matchup in the solidly Republican district was another test of Trump’s endorsement power, which has proven to be decisive in several high-profile races this year. 

The president endorsed Mealer shortly before the first round of voting in March, during which she emerged as the top vote-getter with 36% of the vote.

Mealer notably received a boost from the conservative Club for Growth, which is frequently one of the top spenders in GOP primaries. Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, also backed her campaign.

Because Mealer did not secure a majority of the vote, the race went to a runoff election against Cain, who came in second and notched 31% of the vote.

Cain has served in the Texas House of Representatives since 2017 and was endorsed by Gov. Greg Abbott, R-Texas. He is viewed as one of the most conservative members of the state legislature and has touted endorsements from the National Rifle Association (NRA), Concerned Women for America, Young Republicans of Texas and the Texas Homeschool Coalition PAC, among other Republican-aligned groups.

The primary winner will face environmental activist Leticia Gutierrez in the general election. 

The newly redrawn seat is widely expected to flip to Republican control and is rated noncompetitive by the Cook Political Report. Trump would have carried the district by nearly 20 points in 2024.

Republicans redrew the Democratic-heavy seat last year as part of a GOP-friendly gerrymander that effectively ousted Rep. Al Green, D-Texas, from the district he had represented for more than two decades.

Green ultimately chose to challenge Rep. Christian Menefee, D-Texas, for Houston’s lone Democratic seat, which also went to a runoff election Tuesday.

Mealer narrowly lost a bid for Harris County Judge in 2022 against Judge Lina Hidalgo. She also received the president’s backing during that campaign.

Three alleged members of a South American burglary crew accused of targeting the homes of star athletes, including Kansas City Chiefs Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, were arrested in Argentina and returned to Chile, according to Chilean authorities cited by ABC News.

The three Chilean nationals are wanted in the United States on federal charges tied to a string of alleged high-profile burglaries targeting professional athletes across the country.

According to ABC News, two of the suspects, Ignacio Zuniga Cartes and Bastian Jimenez Freraut, were among five people arrested in connection with a robbery earlier this month at the home of retired Argentine tennis star Juan Martin del Potro.

Argentine authorities said the third suspect, Pablo Zuniga Cartes, was arrested separately and was not connected to the del Potro case.

FBI WARNS SOUTH AMERICAN CRIME GROUPS TARGETING STAR ATHLETES IN BURGLARIES: REPORT

The arrests were carried out during a joint operation involving Argentine federal police and Chilean authorities, according to the report. Chilean authorities told ABC News the suspects are now in Chile awaiting possible extradition proceedings to the United States.

The three suspects are among seven people charged in a federal complaint accusing members of a South American burglary crew federal investigators describe as a “South American Theft Group,” or SATG.

Fox News Digital has reached out to Chilean authorities, Interpol Chile and Argentinian authorities for additional comment.

NFL ISSUES SECURITY WARNING AFTER BURGLARIES AT MAHOMES, KELCE’S HOMES LINKED TO ‘ORGANIZED’ GROUP: REPORTS

According to the January 2025 complaint, federal investigators alleged the crew tracked publicly available game schedules to target athletes while they were away competing.

Investigators said the group had a “clear and consistent modus operandi,” often approaching homes through wooded or dark areas before breaking windows or prying open sliding doors with crowbars.

The complaint alleges the suspects stole jewelry, Rolex watches, cash, luxury luggage and designer bags worth millions of dollars from athletes’ homes across multiple states.

CHIEFS STARS PATRICK MAHOMES, TRAVIS KELCE HAD HOUSES BROKEN INTO HOURS APART IN OCTOBER: REPORT

Authorities say the burglary spree targeted athletes across the NFL and NBA, including Mahomes, Kelce, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow and Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis.

According to investigators, the homes of Mahomes and Kelce were burglarized days apart in October 2024 while the Chiefs stars were away from their Kansas City-area properties.

Federal investigators said the burglaries of the Chiefs players mirrored an earlier break-in at the home of a Tampa Bay Buccaneers player, where thieves allegedly smashed a window and stole jewelry, Rolex watches, a Louis Vuitton suitcase and a firearm valued at roughly $167,000.

JOE BURROW’S HOUSE BURGLARIZED WHILE PLAYING COWBOYS ON MONDAY NIGHT: REPORT

The January 2025 complaint also linked the theft ring to the December 2024 burglary of a Memphis Grizzlies player’s Tennessee home while the team played the Golden State Warriors in Memphis. Prosecutors alleged the burglars stole roughly $1 million worth of jewelry, watches and luxury bags.

Burrow’s Ohio home was also burglarized while the Bengals quarterback was playing the Dallas Cowboys in Texas during Monday Night Football, according to investigators.

Investigators alleged the burglars entered Burrow’s property from a wooded area behind the home during a security shift change and avoided visible security cameras.

Federal authorities previously released photos allegedly showing several suspects posing with stolen valuables and burglary tools shortly after one of the break-ins. Investigators said the images showed suspects displaying luxury watches and jewelry beside a damaged safe that had allegedly been pried open after the burglary of a Milwaukee Bucks player’s home.

In one image cited in the complaint, a suspect appeared to be wearing Kansas City Chiefs apparel while posing with stolen items. Investigators said the suspects were likely “bragging” about the burglaries.

The complaint also details how investigators tracked the alleged burglary crew using cellphone tower data, rental car records and iCloud accounts linked to the suspects.

Authorities alleged one suspect used a fraudulent Argentine identification card to rent a Volkswagen Atlas in South Florida that was later tied to the burglary of Burrow’s home.

Investigators also alleged members of the theft crew used disposable “throw phones” and frequently switched devices and SIM cards to avoid law enforcement detection.

The FBI further alleged the burglary crews operated in small groups that coordinated rental cars, hotels, fake IDs and the sale of stolen goods while traveling throughout the United States.

An NFL security memo previously obtained by The Associated Press warned players that organized South American theft groups were increasingly targeting professional athletes because their schedules and travel plans are publicly available.

The memo urged players to strengthen home security systems, avoid posting real-time travel updates on social media and limit online displays of expensive valuables.

Tanner was such an unknown to most back in April at The Masters to the point where Getty photographers were misidentifying her as Clark’s old girlfriend. Ah, but Screencaps (I’m taking credit here) was all over the biggest news in the golf girlfriend industry.

I did see MY Reds won again and the bullpen didn’t completely implode, which was a nice way to kick off the start of summer.

Screencaps reader reacts to the ski slope pin placement I had to deal with while golfing last week

– Adam writes: I don’t know if it’s a rule or just a design standard, but the ball should be able to stop if you’re within a few feet of the cup.  It’s not supposed to be ski-ball where if you’re below the hole you have to keep putting as it keeps coming back to you unless you make it. And if that’s the only place on the green that isn’t the ski slope, then how do they move the cup around every day to let the greens heal?  Cup and foot traffic damage. Difficult greens are fine but that sounds like a stupid green, and I’ve played on some of those.  Stupid greens or stupid greenskeepers with stupid “unfair” pin placement.

Kinsey:  Now I can’t remember if I was writing about the pin placement at Monroe (MI) Country Club or Ottawa Park, the oldest public course west of New York City. Both courses had diabolical pin placements that turned into absolute nightmares. The green at Monroe is a literal ski slope. The ball will barely sit still if you putt back uphill. Anything above the hole is rolling 20 feet off the green or more.

That being said, part of this great country is the ability to grill. I went and got a new pellet grill on Saturday. My daughter helped put it together. They bring them to the beaches we go to, even though signs clearly state, “NO PETS ALLOWED.” Grocery stores, department stores and even the laundromat I go to each Monday morning. Yappers, sniffers, poopers…I just can’t. And they’re clearly NOT service dogs. But I’m guessing most claim mental illness as a reason they need little “John Dingle” with them 24/7. Not that hard to leave the little mutts at home for the grocery store trip. Don’t get me started on the lady that brings three pups in a stroller out shopping. Stay home and order online.

– Jim T. is mad at me: Normally, I agree with you on just about everything. Not surprising in that we’re both solidly in the middle of mainstream American values and common sense. That we both hail from Dayton, Ohio, also likely contributes.

But I think you need to strongly reconsider your sneering condescension toward country covers of “yacht rock” songs. (I really dislike that name, too – those are my generation’s songs, and most of us will never be anywhere near a yacht.)For starters, Luke Combs sought and received Tracy Chapman’s permission before covering “Fast Car” (which, legally, you don’t have to do – all you have to do is pay the royalties!)

If you’ve not seen the video, look it up – well worth the watch.)

A cover song is a musical tradition – it’s a way of honoring a song or artist you admire . (Combs said it was a song that reminded him of driving in his father’s pickup as a young kid – something I think all of us in SC Nation can appreciate!)

Now, obviously, there are good covers, bad covers, and Yoko Ono covers, and I have no idea which category Keith Urban’s album falls under. (I did get a review copy of Dolly Parton’s “Rock Star” from 2023 and am still not entirely sure what was going on there …)

But Alan Jackson’s take on “Tequila Sunrise” is, if anything, even more in a “yacht rock” vein than the Eagles’ original version. Same with Travis Tritt’s version of “Take It Easy.” And outlaw country singer Shooter Jennings put a fun twist on Dire Straits’ “Walk of Life.”In 2024, a bunch of country musicians got together and did an entire tribute to Tom Petty. As would be expected, some work better than others, but I think most of us here would enjoy “Breakdown” by Ryan Hurd and Carly Pearce.

Circling back to Kevin in Naples, kudos for the Starbuck callout – a forgotten gem of a hit song from my high school years! And grouping Chuck Mangione’s smooth jazz with mellow rock – not a bad call at all.

Here’s the usual media narrative: Donald Trump did something awful (or outrageous, or borderline crazy), and the Republicans in Congress are wimps who won’t stand up to him. 

Rinse, dry, repeat. 

But that changed dramatically in the last few days. 

The new story line:

Donald Trump did something beyond the pale and the brave Republicans are standing up to him. 

They’re mad as hell, and they’re not going to take it anymore.

If you don’t recall this happening before in Trump’s second term, that’s because it hasn’t.

So now you have the press and much of the GOP marching in lockstep. 

It’s a revolt. Practically a revolution. And while most journalists love intra-party strife on both sides (such as the Dems’ dumb 2024 autopsy), they particularly relish a development that seems to be breaking, or at least loosening, Trump’s iron grip on power. 

There was something about Trump’s decision to use $1.8 billion largely for those convicted of crimes on Jan. 6 that was a bridge too far. Some of these people had attacked and injured police officers, seized members’ offices and chanted for Mike Pence’s hanging.

The money came from the settlement of Trump’s suit against the IRS. He had legitimately been wronged by the leaking of his tax returns to the New York Times — showing he had (legally) paid no income tax in 10 out of 15 years, and just $750 in two other years. 

But it was awkward because the head of the government was suing one of its agencies. The leaker, a former IRS contractor, was sentenced to five years in prison. 

This is the culmination of a five-year effort by the president to recast the protestors, who he had summoned to Washington and directed to march to the Capitol, as patriots, not lawbreakers. That is inconveniently contradicted by the relentless violence we all saw on our television screens as the riot unfolded. It was one of the darkest days in American history, aimed at stopping Congress from certifying Joe Biden’s 2020 victory.

The coverage has been exploding as even many Republicans on the Hill have vehemently objected to what critics call a “slush fund.”

When Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, a former defense lawyer for Trump, met with Senate Republicans, things exploded.

“My guess is there’re probably 45 senators in the room, at least half of them were blasting the attorney general. … They were screaming at the acting attorney general,” said Sen. Ted Cruz., who called it a “full-on revolt.”

Mitch McConnell, no fan of the president, put it this way: 

“So the nation’s top law enforcement official is asking for a slush fund to pay people who assault cops? Utterly stupid, morally wrong – Take your pick.”

Republican Sen. Bill Cassidy, who just lost his primary thanks to Trump, said on X:

“People are concerned about paying their mortgage or rent, affording groceries and paying for gas, not about putting together a $1.8 billion fund for the President and his allies to pay whomever they wish with no legal precedent or accountability.”

Republican Sen. Ron Johnson, on CNN, described the entire effort as a “galactic blunder.”

One senator, Tommy Tuberville, defended Trump’s plan as aimed at “hundreds of innocent patriots.”

After the fiery session on the so-called “anti-weaponization” fund, GOP leaders — concerned about having to vote on the fund — killed a scheduled vote on a $72-billion measure to crack down on illegal immigration. 

They also refused to approve the $1 billion for the White House ballroom that the president is obsessed with building.

The media are suddenly full of praise for these rebelling Republicans, who, with a few exceptions, are not generally viewed as allies.

The most likely outcome, in my view, is a mushy compromise that includes some modifications on how the awards are made. That’s usually how the Hill deals with tough questions.

But ultimately, as on most issues, Donald Trump will probably get his way, the culmination of his dogged campaign to whitewash the unsavory image of the Jan. 6 lawbreakers. 

Footnote: The timing can’t be coincidental. Many Republicans–along with Democrats and the likes of the Wall Street Journal editorial page–are openly criticizing the outlines of a Trump agreement with Iran.

“Doesn’t make too much sense to me,” said Sen. Thom Tillis.

A “60-day ceasefire — with the belief that Iran will ever engage in good faith — would be a disaster,” said Sen. Roger Wicker.

While the details are still being negotiated, the main objection is the U.S. bowing to Iran’s demand to deal with nuclear issues later on — with no time limit–once the Strait of Hormuz and other questions are resolved.

Lindsey Graham, a war hawk and pal of the president, says the vaguely defined delay on nuclear weaponry “makes one wonder why the war started to begin with.”

Maybe the previously unthinkable idea of Republicans openly challenging Trump is catching on.

California’s 7th Congressional District candidate and Sacramento City Councilmember Mai Vang is receiving pushback after videos resurfaced of her refusing to say the Pledge of Allegiance.

Over Memorial Day weekend, multiple clips showed Vang turning aside or staying silent during city council meetings as members said the Pledge of Allegiance toward the American flag. As recently as Wednesday, Van was seen with eyes downcast during the pledge.

Vang, who has held her Sacramento City Council position since 2020, previously addressed her refusal to say the Pledge of Allegiance in a 2025 Facebook post.

“[T]his is exactly why I choose not to recite the Pledge of Allegiance during every council meeting,” Vang said. “As much as I love this country, I use that moment to ground myself—to center our communities and remind myself of the injustices and harm that continue to affect so many, both locally and across the globe, under this nation’s influence.”

She continued, “We must not tune out—they want us to become numb to the realities we see in the news—it’s part of the plan to keep us complacent. But instead, we resist. We surround ourselves with loved ones, take time to rest, remain vigilant, and stay steadfast in the fight for equity, justice & humanity. We got us. I love you all.”

Vang is one of several candidates seeking to challenge longtime Democratic Rep. Doris Matsui, who has held the California seat for over 20 years.

The Sacramento city councilmember is also the latest among a series of progressive candidates seeking to challenge longstanding Democratic politicians. Vang has voiced support for far-left positions such as universal healthcare, increased taxes on billionaires and abolishing ICE.

In a comment to the New York Post, Sacramento Democratic political consultant Steve Maviglio called Vang’s actions “completely disrespectful.”

“It’s ‘Patriotism 101,’ you say the Pledge of Allegiance even if you don’t agree with everything,” Maviglio said. “You can’t say the Pledge of Allegiance—that’s how extreme you are? Come on.”

The primary will be held on June 2.

Anti-ICE protesters and authorities clashed Monday outside a New Jersey detention facility where critics allege illegal immigrants are being held in appalling conditions.

Protesters attempted to form a human chain outside the Delaney Hall detention center in Newark. New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill attempted to gain access to the building but was refused entry, according to local reports.

“My request for access to Delaney Hall was formally denied this morning, raising serious questions about what they are trying to hide from public view,” Sherrill said, according to Patch.

“I have long opposed private detention facilities and will continue to advocate for the closure of Delaney Hall and against any expansion of mass detention facilities in New Jersey, like the proposed facility in Roxbury,” the governor added.

Some protesters threw water and yelled at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, who were seen detaining several demonstrators, WPIX-TV reported.

Protesters and onlookers were heard screaming at ICE agents, who ordered the crowd to move to a grassy area off the road. Agents and protesters stood face-to-face before the situation calmed down.

“No more ICE!” protesters chanted. Others shouted, “Free them all!”

Meanwhile, hundreds of detainees inside have launched a hunger and labor strike, as advocates allege they live in poor conditions and are denied medical treatment and visits. In a group letter released last week, nearly 300 detainees said they live in “inhumane” conditions, citing bad food and medical neglect.

The letter acknowledged that they entered the United States illegally, noting that they now feel “kidnapped.”

“Initially, we ask for forgiveness for the way we entered the United States, but given the circumstances we were living in our countries, which placed our lives and those of some members of our families in danger,” the letter states. “We feel vulnerable and, in a way, kidnapped—detained without justification—not to mention that we are being tortured physically and psychologically due to the poor food resources provided in these detention centers.”

A DHS spokesperson told Fox News Digital that all detainees are provided with three meals a day, clean water, clothing, bedding, showers, soap, and toiletries.

“Illegal aliens also have access to phones to communicate with their family members and lawyers, the spokesperson said. “Certified dieticians evaluate meals. In fact, ICE has higher detention standards than most U.S. prisons that hold actual U.S. citizens.”

Family members and loved ones have been holding a vigil outside the facility since Friday.

In February 2025, then-Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said the facility was housing “murderers, terrorists, child rapists and MS-13 gang members.”

Several elected officials have recently visited the facility or called for its closure, including Sen. Andy Kim and Reps. Rob Menendez Jr., Nellie Pou, LaMonica McIver, Analilia Mejia, and Frank Pallone Jr.
