Alica Schmidt, the German track star who was dubbed “the world’s sexiest athlete,” said earlier this week that she had turned down a major payday from a well-known sponsor.

The 25-year-old runner told the OMR podcast that she wasn’t completely into the sponsor that had offered her the deal. Schmidt has more than five million followers on Instagram alone and has a separate deal with BOSS.

“Two months ago, I received an offer from a well-known brand. But I wasn’t 100% behind it,” she said, via Germany’s Bild newspaper. “I don’t feel comfortable with that. That would have been in the mid to high six figures. For a campaign.”

The New York Post noted in October that Schmidt had said that members of the German national team get about $739 a month in sponsorship deals through Sporthilfe, which supports the athletes.

Schmidt made the German Olympic team for the 2020 Games a few years ago but did not compete. She’s aiming to make the team for the Paris Olympics in the summer.

“You have to go beyond your limits every day. It also often happens that I throw up after training, because that’s how you suffer,” she said. “It’s also the best feeling when you’ve done it and pushed yourself and noticed that progress somewhere.”

She was on the team for its silver medal performance in the 2017 European Athletics U20 Championships and picked up a bronze medal in the 2019 European Athletics U23 Championships.

“Real Time” host Bill Maher suggested it’s not too late for Democrats to dump President Biden at the DNC convention this summer following the explosive special counsel report. 

During a panel discussion Friday night, Maher revived his nickname for the president, “Ruth Bader Biden,” following Special Counsel Robert Hur’s revelations about Biden’s cognitive abilities. 

“I said he was going to be the Ruth Bader Ginsburg of presidential politics… He stayed too long at the fair,” Maher said. “Bubbling up this week… he won’t do the Super Bowl interview, which is not a hard one, mixing up all the world leaders and then this report that came out.”

“Republicans are brilliant at using this. This is a little bit like the Comey letter, a little like the Starr report,” he later said.

Maher recalled comments Biden made during the 2020 election cycle when he referred to himself as a “bridge” for Democrats, insisting that was a “big hint” that he wasn’t intending to seek reelection. 

“He said ‘I see myself as a bridge’ that’s collapsing,” Maher quipped. “‘I see myself as a bridge.’ I read that as one term. And I guess the question now is, is it too late? And I don’t think it is because I still think you can do it at the convention. People have said to me, ‘Oh, that’s ridiculous. They’ll look like-‘ They’ll look like nothing. Nobody gives a f— what they do at the convention.”

“You can switch him out at the convention… If a guy says ‘I can’t run,’ then you have to do it. Then it has to be somebody else. Then it’s an open convention. We’ve had open conventions many times… They make it up as they go along anyway. It’s politics,” Maher later added. 

While Maher was largely dismissive of the Hur probe, he did have some fun at the expense of the president during his opening monologue, first going after him over his decision to skip the Super Bowl interview for the second year in the row.

“We’re not asking him to go on ‘Dancing with the Stars,’” Maher joked.

He later poked fun at Biden mixing up Egypt with Mexico during Thursday night’s press conference when talking about Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. 

“In the middle of explaining that he’s perfectly fine and he doesn’t mix things up, he mixed up who the president of Egypt El-Sisi and said he was the president of Mexico. This is like claiming in front of your wife that you’re not a cheater when the burner phone goes off,” Maher joked. We knew he was old when we elected him, alright? Joe- he’s like that goldfish you get at the fair- don’t get attached.”

He continued, “And who hasn’t mixed up the president of Mexico and the and the president of Egypt? I once invited the leader of Egypt to a dinner party when I meant to invite the president of Mexico. Then it was like, ‘Oh, I hope you like tacos!” 

A Bahamian resort has said two American women’s allegations of drug-laced cocktails and sexual assaults “conflict” with its 16 “time-stamped surveillance videos.”

Amber Shearer and Dongayla Dobson, lifelong friends from Kentucky, were enjoying a kid-free vacation when they stopped on Grand Bahama Island during a Carnival cruise. 

They said they felt woozy after a couple of sips of their drinks, lost consciousness and were sexually assaulted by resort employees, according to news outlets and their own posts on social media. They tested positive for high levels of drugs.

The resort, Pirate’s Cove in Freeport, Bahamas, said in a statement the “lengthy videos of all concerned” were handed over to local police. The FBI is also part of the investigation.

The resort did not immediately return Fox News Digital’s request for more information or answer follow-up questions about what resort officials saw on their cameras that “conflict” with the women’s allegations. 

“We regret that our guests experienced this incident, and we remain steadfast in our commitment to aid police in the collection of evidence in response to these allegations, including providing police access to video where the assault of the two guests allegedly occurred,” the resort said in its statement. 

WARNING FOR CRUISE PASSENGERS AS SEXUAL ASSAULTS HIT NEW HIGH IN 2023: FBI

The Freeport resort said it called law enforcement and medical personnel and took “swift” action by firing the two resort employees for violating resort policy.

“We have a zero-tolerance policy for fraternizing with guests or behaving in a manner that is unsafe,” the resort’s statement says. 

“While there is an active police investigation into these serious allegations, we have terminated the employment of the two accused, as the behavior seen on tape by management indicates that, at a minimum, they violated our zero-tolerance policy.”

“Local authorities and paramedics were called to the scene and Pirates Cove management assisted in identifying and locating the two alleged suspects,” the Freeport resort’s statement goes on to say. “In addition, after the police concluded their initial investigation, we assisted in transporting the women back to their cruise ship after guests refused transportation to the hospital.”

The women have not responded to Fox News Digital’s request for comment, and the FBI did not immediately respond with a comment about their involvement. 

The Royal Bahama Police Force said in a Feb. 4 statement that they arrested two men – ages 54 and 40 – in connection with the alleged sexual assault. Their names were not released.

In a follow-up statement, the Royal Bahama Police Force told the Nassau Guardian that the women declined medical assistance and signed a waiver before leaving for their cruise ship “in a private vehicle.”

“Recognizing the gravity of the incident, our officers boarded the cruise ship, providing a sexual assault kit and hospital form to the ship’s medical doctor and obtained signed statements from the victims,” the statement says. 

“Preliminary reports suggest the incident occurred shortly after noon at a central Grand Bahama beach. Upon learning of the incident, our officers immediately commenced investigations, leading to the arrest of two adult males, aged 54 and 40.”

Carnival Cruise Line said the two guests aboard the Carnival Elation reported the sexual assault that occurred on “an independent shore excursion,” according to the New York Post. 

“Our onboard Care Team provided support for the two guests as they sailed back to Jacksonville,” the cruise company said.

War of words and 70% of Bahamian economy at stake

As the resort fights the women’s allegations with its own statement, the United States Department of State and the Bahamian government exchanged cutting barbs over the department’s level-two travel advisory warning because of rising levels of crime.

“The majority of crime occurs on New Providence (Nassau) and Grand Bahama (Freeport) islands,” according to the State Department’s late January warning, which mentioned spikes in violent crimes like armed robberies and sexual assaults because of gang activity. 

Bahamian Prime Minister Philip Davis came out swinging by saying many tourism locations share the same level two designation. 

“The incidents described in the January 2024 US Embassy crime alert do not reflect general safety in The Bahamas, a count of sixteen tourist destinations, and many more islands,” Davis said on Jan. 29, five days after the U.S. warning. 

He said the Bahamian government “is alert, attentive and proactive to ensure that The Bahamas remains a safe and welcoming destination.”

Nearly the entire Bahamian economy is at stake when it comes to tourism, which accounts for approximately 70% of the country’s Gross Domestic Product and employs just over half of the workforce, according to an October 2022 report by the International Trade Administration. 

The Bahamas was on track to welcome over 7 million American tourists by the end of 2023, according to the state department’s most recent Investment Climate Statement, which was released in 2023.

The Indianapolis Colts legend, who was selected 11th overall in the 2002 NFL Draft out of Syracuse, was a seven-time Pro Bowler and first-team All-Pro three times over his 16 NFL seasons. 

While he did play for the San Diego Chargers, Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons and Seattle Seahawks, Freeney’s 11 years in a Colts uniform made him a staple in the Midwest. He collected 107.5 of his 125.5 sacks in Indy, while being a pivotal piece of the Colts’ Super Bowl XLI championship team. 

Freeney finished his career with 148 quarterback hits and 128 tackles for loss, while forcing 47 fumbles, which ties him for third on the NFL’s all-time list.

WR Andre Johnson

A feared wide receiver with the Houston Texans, Johnson surpassed 1,000 yards seven times in his 14 NFL seasons, while leading the NFL in receptions twice (2006, 2008). He is only one of three NFL wide receivers to lead the NFL in receiving yards in consecutive seasons during the Super Bowl era, with now-fellow Hall of Famers Calvin Johnson and Jerry Rice doing so as well. 

Johnson also played for the Colts and Tennessee Titans in his 193 games. He totaled 14,185 yards on 1,062 career receptions with 70 touchdown catches.

Simply put, Hester might be the best returner in the history of football. His best player is arguably the opening kickoff from Super Bowl XLI, which he took to the house, albeit in a losing effort. He holds the NFL records with 20 touchdowns on special teams in a career, 14 of which came on punts (also a record).

He returned four punts and two kicks for touchdowns in 2007, the most ever in a season. Eleven of his special teams touchdowns came in his first two NFL seasons, in 2006 and 2007. In 2013 and 2014, he led the NFL in yardage on kick returns with 1,436 and 1,128 yards, respectively.

LB Randy Gradishar

Gradishar made the Pro Bowl in seven of his 10 seasons in the Broncos’ Orange Crush defense. The 1978 Defensive Player of the Year, Gradishar was a two-time First-team All-Pro, and his 2,049 (unofficial) tackles are the second-most in NFL history.

LB Patrick Willis

He may have walked away from the game early in the eyes of NFL fans, but Willis’ impact with the San Francisco 49ers as their leader at middle linebacker was Hall of Fame worthy. 

All of Willis’ eight seasons came in the Bay Area, where he immediately made his impact with 174 tackles to lead the NFL in 2007. He also won AP Defensive Rookie of the Year that season. 

Willis went on to collect 950 combined tackles, 20.5 sacks, eight interceptions and 16 forced fumbles over his career. 

DE Steve McMichael

“Mongo” as he is widely known, McMichael was twice a first-team All-Pro and won Super Bowl XX with the Chicago Bears. 

McMichael’s wife, Misty, was in Vegas in honor of her husband, who is batting ALS.

DE Julius Peppers

Peppers made nine Pro Bowls while spending 10 of his 17 Hall of Fame seasons with the Carolina Panthers. Peppers immediately made his mark on the league, winning the Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2002 after being the second pick out of UNC (where he also played basketball).

Peppers racked up 159.5 sacks, deflected 82 passes, and forced 52 fumbles.

After spending seven years with the Chicago Bears, and three with the Green Bay Packers, Peppers went back to Carolina for two more seasons. Peppers missed just six games in his career.

Two violent migrants who were captured on CCTV stomping and kicking two police officers during the vicious Times Square attack late last month have yet to be arrested and are still at large, according to the New York Police Department.

The suspects have yet to be apprehended in relation to the shocking attack where a mob of illegal immigrants kicked and beat the NYPD officers just steps from the New Amsterdam Theater — a popular destination among tourists.

In photos released by police on Wednesday, one migrant is pictured wearing a red hoody, black pants, black sneakers and a white baseball cap.

In the now-viral video of the attack, police say that the migrant stomps on a lieutenant’s head as the police officer tries to apprehend a suspect on the ground. The migrant then kicks the other officer in the back before returning and taking a kick at the lieutenant.

Photos of the second migrant show him wearing a dark-colored puffer coat, blue jeans, sneakers and a red baseball cap. 

He can be seen taking a big swinging kick at the lieutenant’s head. The migrant falls to the ground as he tries to execute the kick.

The footage, along with a video of one of the immigrants giving the middle finger after being released, sparked widespread condemnation. 

Several of those already arrested were released on bail and have fled the state, leading to some New York Republican lawmakers calling for Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg to be removed from office. Bragg said that his office, “continues to work with law enforcement to bring everyone responsible for these heinous attacks to justice.”

Darwin Andres Gomez, 19, Wilson Juarez, 21, Kelvin Servita Arocha, 19, and Yorman Reveron, 24, were part of the initial group of four who were arrested and let go. Police say that they have skipped town and have headed to California. 

Jhoan Boada, 22, was arrested later and then released before flipping the bird to waiting reporters. 

Yohenry Brito, 24, and Jandry Barros, 21, were also arrested in the case. Brito was indicted by a grand jury in relation to the attack on the officers, although Barros has not been charged in relation to the attack. 

Meanwhile, Yoiber Martinez, 19, was arrested days after the attack on charges of disorderly conduct, disrupting traffic and possession of a controlled substance after he exchanged words with passing officers outside the Roosevelt Hotel. Martinez appeared to play a clip of the attack in front of the police.

A smiling and laughing Martinez was seen walking out of the police station the previous day with Boada, who was giving double middle fingers. Martinez does not appear to have been involved in the attack on the officers in Times Square.

The brutal attacks come amid an uptick in violent crime being perpetrated in the Big Apple by illegal immigrants while the taxpayer continues to pay for the housing and food of around 67,000 migrants at various shelters as funding for other services is slashed. For instance, a $60 million cut to the city’s food budget has resulted in the cafeteria menu removing student favorites like cookies, chicken dumplings and burritos, according to Chalkbeat.

A video released this week from December shows members of a migrant crime gang dragging a woman down a New York City street, grabbing her purse and sending her careening into a steel pole before speeding off.

Meanwhile, a 26-year-old Palestinian migrant is facing hate crime charges in New York after police say he stole a homeowner’s U.S. and Israeli flags out of his yard and then beat the man to the ground while yelling antisemitic slurs.

It comes as New York City Mayor Eric Adams is asking the state to cough up $4.6 billion in the new budget to pay for the illegal migrant crisis. 

More than 170,000 migrants have arrived in New York City since 2022. Officials had hoped that the cost of the crisis would be split equally three ways between the city, state and federal governments, but Adams admitted the federal government never agreed to that arrangement. So far, the Biden administration has allocated around $150 million in federal aid.

About $1.3 billion of the $2.4 billion that New York Gov. Kathy Hochul has already committed to paying for large-scale migrant tent shelters in Queens, Randall’s Island and Brooklyn’s Floyd Bennett Field. 

Around $1.1 billion will pay for housing, food and other services for the migrants still in the city’s care. 

The city will soon launch a $53 million pilot program to hand out prepaid credit cards to migrant families housed in hotels, according to a report.

Longshot Democratic presidential candidate Marianne Williamson has suspended her presidential campaign.

Williamson announced that she will no longer be pursuing the White House in 2024 in a video posted to X, formerly Twitter, Wednesday night.

“I read a quote the other day that said that sunsets are proof that endings can be beautiful too, and so today, even though it is time to suspend my campaign for the presidency, I do want to see the beauty and I want all of you who so incredibly supported me on this journey – as donors, as supporters, as team and as volunteers – to see the beauty too,” she opened the video saying.

Williamson then went on to list what she felt she accomplished and brought attention to during her campaign, and encouraged those who supported her to continue to have hope.

Williamson’s suspension comes as the 2024 presidential match-up begins to solidify on both sides.

The Democrats already have their man in President Biden, who is running for re-election to the White House after his first term in office.

Williamson first ran for president in 2019 — also against Biden and a slew of other Democrats — and announced in early 2023 that she would be challenging the president in 2024.

The move did not go over well with Democrats, who attacked Williamson over her challenge to Biden.

This has always posed a major issue for Williamson’s campaign, as political parties often back their incumbent presidents, but Williamson herself hasn’t stepped down from calling her party out.

Williamson accused the Democratic National Committee (DNC) of having “manipulated the process” of a primary election in a January interview with Fox News’ Neil Cavuto.

“It’s outrageous, actually. The fact that the DNC feels entitled to just anoint a president,” Williamson said when asked about Biden not appearing on the New Hampshire primary ballot.

“I think the people are watching. I think people are horrified,” she continued. “70 percent of Democrats have said they want to hear from other voices. As your coverage just showed, the president is very low in his numbers, maybe not as low as you’ve said. Who knows? But there’s a lot of rumbling out there and people do not appreciate the fact that the DNC has chosen to manipulate the process like this.”
