Chase cardholders can earn $10 back (or 10 points per dollar) with these targeted offers

Chase cardholders can earn back (or 10 points per dollar) with these targeted offers

Chase is running a new set of targeted offers, which could yield up to 10 points per dollar on your spending or provide up to $10 back on your necessary expenses. Plus, targeted cardholders can take advantage of a simple “spend $5, get $5 back” grocery offer.

Not everyone will have the same offers, since these are targeted, so it’s worth checking every card you have to find available rebates and bonus points. These are the spending offers we’re seeing right now on Chase credit cards.

Limited-time bonuses: Check if you’re targeted

Eligible cobranded Chase cardholders can earn 5 points per dollar on spending at gas stations, grocery stores and home improvement stores. These offers are valid through Dec. 31 and must be activated in advance to earn the bonus points. We have seen this offer on multiple cobranded credit cards, and the elevated earning rate applies to the first $1,500 in combined purchases across the bonus categories.

Go to this link to see if any of your cards are targeted. You’ll need to check each card individually. Not everyone will be targeted for every offer, but we have seen offers on Hyatt, Marriott and United cobranded credit cards.

You could earn a $10 statement credit after paying select utilities, including internet, cable and phone services or insurance bills.

And you can receive a $5 statement credit after spending $5 or more on groceries. Note that certain merchants don’t qualify, including warehouse clubs, discount stores, drugstores, specialty stores and meal kit delivery programs.

In terms of earning extra points, you may be able to earn 10 points per dollar at gas stations and 5 points per dollar at Amazon.com and grocery stores — on up to $1,500 of combined purchases across these categories.

This same offer was available on cobranded credit cards from Marriott, Hyatt and United Airlines.

However, we’re also seeing a more lucrative offer on some cards. This offer provides 10 points per dollar at gas stations and 5 points per dollar at Amazon.com and grocery stores — up to $1,500 of combined purchases in these categories.

We have seen these offers on numerous cobranded Chase credit cards but have not yet seen them on any cards earning Ultimate Rewards points. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t check back (and often) to see what offers may be available on your credit cards to earn bonus points on your purchases.

Reminder: Other current offers

Remember that Chase Freedom (no longer open to new applicants) and Chase Freedom Flex cardholders can earn 5% back (or 5 points per dollar) on Walmart and PayPal purchases from Oct. 1 to Dec. 31. The deadline for activating these categories has passed, however; you’ll only be able to achieve these bonus earnings if you activated this quarter’s categories before Dec. 15.

And Chase’s partnership with Lyft isn’t new, but Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders can continue to earn 10 points per dollar on Lyft rides and get complimentary Lyft Pink status. Those with the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card, Chase Freedom (no longer open to new applicants), Chase Freedom Flex, Chase Freedom Unlimited and all Ink Business credit cards can earn 5 points per dollar. This partnership runs through March 2025.

Plus, depending on your card, you can get anywhere from $10 per quarter to $15 per month in statement credits for Instacart purchases. That’s on top of receiving anywhere from 3-12 months of complimentary Instacart+, again depending on which Chase card you have. Here’s a novel way for you to put these credits to good use to help food pantries this holiday season.

Bottom line

With several ways to earn bonuses and statement credits across certain Chase cards, it is definitely worth a few seconds of your time to check your eligibility and register. Remember to check each card individually and activate any available offers before spending in those categories.
