How to get 100,000 airline miles for booking a cruise this week

If you’re a points and miles aficionado, you won’t want to miss this chance to take advantage of what could be a lucrative miles-earning opportunity: Book a 2023 sailing this week via your favorite airline’s cruise portal and you could bank more than 100,000 miles.

Travel company World Travel Holdings — which powers the cruise booking engines affiliated with several major airlines including American Airlines, Alaska Airlines, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines — is offering bonus miles on select voyages this year when you reserve a cabin by Feb. 28.

The offers span five of the eight major cruise lines, as well as luxury and river cruise brands, and the same mileage bonuses apply across the four airline-branded cruise portals. In addition to the extra miles, your booking will also be eligible for the current promotions from these cruise lines. They include fare discounts, kids-sail-free promotions, included gratuities, free cabin upgrades, complimentary beverage packages and onboard credit, making the overall value even greater.

Here’s a rundown of what you can expect. Note that the number of miles you’ll earn and the perks and discounts you’ll receive can be dependent on cabin type and length of sailing, as well as the type of credit card you use to book.

Bank up to 30,000 miles when you reserve a room on one of Azamara’s sailings of 10 nights or longer departing July through December.

Travelers who book this week can also take advantage of up to 40% savings on fares and up to $300 in credit to spend on board.

You’ll also score 50% off cruise fares and included crew gratuities for two people, plus all six of the line’s complimentary “Free at Sea” extras: Wi-Fi, alcohol packages, alternative dining, shore excursion credit, third and fourth passengers in each cabin, and airfare.

Paul Gauguin Cruises

When you reserve a sailing, you’ll also receive up to $200 in onboard credit and free chocolate and Champagne.

Princess Cruises

If you’re looking to sail at the last minute, you can accrue up to 10,000 miles when you book a Princess cruise that departs from Galveston, Texas, and sails to the Caribbean before the end of March.

Additionally, the line is extending offers of up to 35% off cruise fares, up to $600 in onboard credit, free drink packages, crew gratuities and Wi-Fi access.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises

Book a 2023 Regent cruise to Europe, and you’ll receive up to 25,000 miles. Or, if you’re feeling especially adventurous, reserve a cabin on the line’s world cruise, and you’ll grab yourself 100,000 miles.

You’ll also enjoy up to 20% off Europe fares, $400 in onboard credit, up to a two-category suite upgrade and reduced deposits.

Royal Caribbean

When you book select 2023 voyages to Europe and Alaska, Royal Caribbean will reward you with up to 10,000 miles.

As part of an ongoing discount promotion, the line is also offering up to 30% off fares, additional instant savings on select voyages, kids-sail-free deals and crew gratuities for two people.

Seabourn Cruise Line

The most generous of the mile offers comes from Seabourn, which is touting up to 100,000 miles for bookings.

Want even more? Book to take advantage of reduced deposits and up to $2,000 in onboard credit for a limited time.

How to book

To take advantage of these offers, simply navigate to one of the following cruise booking portals, depending on the airline with which you’d like to earn the miles. You’ll have to enter your loyalty number when you go through the booking process.

Take note of any fine print or stipulations that dictate whether you have to book a certain destination, cruise length or cabin type in order to maximize the number of miles you receive.

Don’t forget that you can earn even more miles if you book using a cobranded credit card for one of the airlines listed above. For example, the United Club Infinite Card offers up to 4 miles per dollar for United purchases, the Alaska Airlines Visa® credit card awards 3 miles per dollar, the Delta SkyMiles® Platinum American Express Card gives 3 miles per dollar, and the American Airlines AAdvantage MileUp℠ Card provides 2 miles per dollar for eligible AA purchases.

If you don’t yet have a cobranded credit card for your favorite airline, now could be the time to open one. If your cruise is pricey enough, it could go a long way to scoring you a welcome bonus as a way to earn even more miles.
