TOKYO — Japan’s economy expanded 0.5% in the April-June quarter, from the previous term, after measures to fight COVID-19 were relaxed.
Preliminary figures released by the Cabinet Office on Monday show the growth rate increased from a revised 0.0% in the January-March period.
