Every NBA franchise has its own history. If you love a team, you’re well versed in it.
Of course, history only goes so far. Fans of a team will normally maintain a “what have you done for me lately” mentality. They can’t be satisfied with accomplishments from decades passed.
By that logic, Sacramento Kings fans must be breathing a sigh of relief this season. This team hasn’t made the playoffs in 16 years – an NBA record.
This season, they’re one of the best teams in the Western Conference.
The same cannot be said of the Detroit Pistons in the East. This is a team with a proud history, but they’ve also struggled in recent years.
Could they make a deal with the Kings this summer?
