Cameron Green’s lucky escape as Aussies put Cape Town to sleep

Look, we’ve all been there.
A nice, warm day. The gently thrum of cricket playing out in the background, leather on willow and the excited sounds of men at play.
Having a nap is natural.
Shame though, because it was a cracking day’s play.
Here’s the five quick hits.
What happened yesterday?
Australia’s batters cashed in, that’s what happened yesterday.
Four men scored half centuries, two of them are still out there, and Australia are just four wickets down and ahead on the scoreboard after two days of cricket at Newlands.
Here’s our commentary team’s thoughts on a superb day of play for the tourists.
And here’s our wrap.
Day three is moving day in Cape Town

Hello everyone and welcome to what promises to be the crucial day in this series.
Australia are in the box seat, their disciplined batting proving that South Africa were as much as 150 runs short of a par score in their first dig on a pitch that has done very, very little to assist the bowlers.
With six second innings wickets remaining Australia should be looking at a lead well in excess of 100, probably closer to 200.
From there, the match is theirs to loose.
Should be a fun day, because South Africa will know all that and be desperate not to let themselves be overturned like that.
My name is Simon Smale, Chris de Silva is with me and we are both looking forward to what promises to be a thrilling day of Test match cricket.
