A New York man has won a $10 million lottery price – just over a year after winning $10 million playing another game.

Wayne Murray of Brooklyn, N.Y., recently won the jackpot on a 200X scratch-off ticket.

His win comes after this winning ticket from August 2022, when he won his first $10-million prize from a Black Titanium game.

Murray took his winnings in a single lump-sum payment of $6,122,400, just like he did last year when he also took home a single lump sum of just over $6 million.

“It feels very humbling and liberating,” the lucky man told lottery officials last year.

This year, he told the New York Post he wanted to remain “discreet,” but when asked if he was a religious man, Murray replied, “Extremely.”

Hassan Nabil, the clerk at the convenience store where Murray purchased both winning tickets, told the Post that Murray is a regular customer.

“He’s very friendly with the locals and very generous with his time,” Nabil said. “He could have moved out of the neighborhood after winning the first time, but he stood his ground.”

He continued: “Money changes a lot of people, but he doesn’t show off or anything. He keeps it real, keeps it honest.”

Nabil added: “Twice in a row – what are the odds? You can’t even think about it. It’s not comprehensible.”

The odds of winning the 200X scratch-off game are 1 in 3.64 million, according to the New York Lottery, while the odds of winning the Black Titanium game are 1 in 3.53 million.

Lottery officials could not say what the odds are of winning both.
