Mariah Carey wants primary custody of her twins with Nick Cannon, according to an insider familiar with the situation. RadarOnline.com alleges to have spoken with the family friend.
“The reality of the situation is that Monroe and Moroccan are usually with Mariah anyway,” the insider reportedly shared. “Nick doesn’t see much of them,” the family friend added. “She wants to put him on notice that he can’t just flit in and out of their lives while he attends to his other children. And she wants legal standing as the twins’ primary caregiver.”
Nick Cannon welcomed his twelfth child a few weeks ago. The little one’s mom, Alyssa Scott, announced his arrival.
“December 14, 2022. Our lives are forever changed,” Alyssa told her supporters on Instagram. “Zen is in every breath I take,” the Wild ‘N Out model shared. “I know his spirit was with us in the room that morning,” Alyssa said.
Nick Cannon and Alyssa Scott’s son, Zen Cannon, died in 2021 after enduring complications related to a brain tumor for months. He was five months old at the time of his death. Little Zen made Nick a father for the seventh time. Cannon went on to welcome five more children last year.
“Contrary to popular belief, I’m probably engaged throughout my children’s day, more often than the average adult can be,” Nick shared during a recent interview with Men’s Health. “If I’m not physically in the same city with my kids, I’m talking to them before they go to school via FaceTime and stuff,” he further explained.
“And then when I am [in the same city, I’m] driving my kids to school, like making sure I pick ’em up,” Cannon shared with the magazine. “All of those things, making sure [I’m there for] all extracurricular activities. I’m involved in everything from coaching to having guitar lessons with my daughter every week.”
No representative from Mariah Carey or Nick Cannon’s camp has confirmed or denied her alleged desire to have primary custody of their twins. Monroe and Moroccan are Nick’s oldest children.
