The former Baroka midfielder has struggled to crack it at the Buccaneers.

In fact, Makgaka has played for just 42 minutes in total this season.

He was an un-used substitute on eight other occasions and for the remainder of the matches? Well he was eating ice in the stands.

The silky midfielder is now reportedly desperate for game-time and ready for a loan move away from the Buccaneers!

“Collins Makgaka would like to play like all the other players but he hasn’t got a chance at Orlando Pirates. He is a good boy and is willing to honour his contract and is working hard at training but he needs to play. The club will be open to sending him on loan,” a source told SoccerLaduma.

In other news, Orlando Pirates could be smiling all the way to the bank come the end of the 2022/23 campaign.

The Buccaneers have already secured R8 million in prize money after winning the MTN8 title.

Furthermore, Jose Riveiro’s side have to win their final match of the DStv Premiership season to secure second spot against AmaZulu with a healthy scoreline.

Should Orlando Pirates go on to finish in second place in the DStv Premiership, they’ll secure R7.5 million in prize money.

Furthermore, if they go on to beat Sekhukhune United in the Nedbank Cup, R7 million more awaits them.

The PSL Q innovation 4 is also up for grabs for the Buccaneers, depending on how their final league match goes. Should they win it, another R1.5 million awaits.

In total, the Buccaneers could bank up to R24 million in prize money this season.
