Osimhen reveals his idol, Football GOAT, and how he started out as a defender

In-form Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has revealed his football idol and the person he considers football’s greatest of all time.

Victor Osimhen who is currently the most in-form player in football also revealed that he started his career as a defender.

In an interview with Sorare tagged ‘Get to Know Napoli’ Victor Osimhen and his Mexican teammate Hirving Lozano were asked a series of questions about their career and Napoli.

“Maradona is the greatest to ever play this game, so to step on the pitch where he has made history, for me I think there is no better feeling”, said Osimhen when asked how he felt playing at the Diego Maradona stadium for the first time.

When asked about his football idol while growing up, Osimhen mentioned Drogba instantly.

“Growing up I started to watch Didier Drogba, how he plays, and try to see what makes a lot of people consider him as one of the greatest ever to ever play this game.”

Then, the shocker came when Osimhen who is known for his bullish play toward the defenders revealed that he actually started his career as a defender.
