Philippines GDP growth accelerates to 7.6% in 2022

MANILA — The Philippine economy expanded 7.6% in 2022, faster than the government’s target range of 6.5% to 7.5%, as domestic consumption remained resilient despite inflation.

But the government expects growth to moderate this year to 6% to 7%, based partly on an anticipated slowdown in advanced economies.
