For the uninitiated, “tanking” is the process of, by one means or another, building a team with the intention of losing. The point is to maximize your lottery odds in the NBA draft.
The Houston Rockets have been tanking for some time. Next year, they’ll have to stop.
The Rockets will owe their pick to the Oklahoma City Thunder with top-4 protection – it’s time for them to at least try to win some games.
By contrast, the Toronto Raptors could start rebuilding this summer. They opted against doing so at the trade deadline, but if they don’t improve throughout the remainder of this season, they could make big changes this summer.
Could they start by sending OG Anunoby to the Houston Rockets?
