Digital news site stuff.co.nz has launched a new membership layer, Extra Stuff. It will deliver events, extra content, insider access and new member communities for audiences wanting more.
Available to all Stuff audiences from October 27, registered Extra Stuff members will have access to journalists, exclusive events, additional games, shared experiences and new ways to engage with the news site.
Stuff owner and publisher Sinead Boucher says: “Everything Stuff audiences already enjoy for free will stay free, while Extra Stuff members will get more of what our most engaged audiences love best.
“In sport, entertainment, news and across our lifestyle content, Extra Stuff will offer members new experiences and new ways to engage. It takes our audience from consumers to participants to belonging, with Extra Stuff building the deepest relationship with our most active members.
“Their membership fees will also help support the fearless, independent and non-partisan journalism that Stuff is known for,” Boucher adds.
Insider access
Stuff Digital editor-in-chief Keith Lynch says audiences will have insider access to Stuff’s top talent like never before.
“We’ll be creating money-can’t-buy experiences such as live events and meets with the country’s best investigative journalists, opinion leaders and creators, as well as giving our Extra Stuff founding members a way to help us shape the membership programme they want,” he says.
“We’ll be layering in new experiences and benefits every week, adding more content, giving our members the chance to engage with other members and our talent.
“Extra Stuffis a way to go behind the headlines or under the cover with the Stuff content you want more of.”
Extra Stuff membership begins at $10 per month, or $99 per year, with a one-off Founding Membership programme available for Stuff’s most loyal supporters.
