Telum Media and Truescope Form Strategic Alliance
Telum Media has announced a partnership with Truescope, integrating its journalist and media relations platform with Truescope’s advanced AI-driven media intelligence services.
This collaboration encompasses five essential areas of media intelligence. Truescope excels in media monitoring, social listening, and media analysis, while Telum Media enhances this offering with its comprehensive media database and distribution functionalities. For communication teams, this integration creates a seamless workflow, allowing for efficient journalist targeting and evaluation of media coverage impact.
The partnership officially launched on November 4, with an initial focus on regions including New Zealand, Australia, and Singapore, with plans to expand into additional markets in the future.
Personalized Outreach for Journalists
Telum Media emphasizes that this partnership addresses the increasing demand from journalists for more tailored outreach from public relations professionals. This announcement follows the introduction of new distribution tools within the Telum Media platform.
Michael Webster, Executive Chairman of Telum Media, stated, “The outdated ‘spray and pray’ method of sending media releases must be left behind. Thousands of journalists have conveyed their preferences through our Journalist Interest Surveys.”
He added, “The focus has shifted to precision targeting and relevant communication. This collaboration with Truescope enables communications teams to identify and engage with journalists based on relevant editorial interests and demonstrated coverage.”
“With this integration in the Telum Media platform, teams can research, plan, personalize, and pitch without navigating through multiple disconnected systems,” Webster noted.
Comprehensive Media Solutions
For Truescope, this partnership coincides with its entry into the Australian market on October 1. Following this initiation, the company has engaged with over 30 leaders in communications, public relations, and public affairs across various sectors to discern their requirements for an effective media intelligence service.
Truescope provides extensive monitoring of broadcast, print, digital, and social media as part of its offerings. Additionally, its AI capabilities include Truescope Assistant, which addresses queries regarding media coverage, and Truescope Analyst, which interprets the implications of that coverage—all while providing citations for every output.
John Croll, CEO of Truescope, stated, “This integration merges coverage and journalist data, addressing two complementary aspects of the PR workflow. Clients increasingly seek a seamless combination of monitoring and journalist intelligence without sacrificing quality.”
“Public relations and communications teams desire the finest monitoring tools alongside comprehensive journalist data. Historically, this has meant operating across two separate systems and redundant data entry,” Croll explained.
“Through this partnership, a communications manager gains access to the specialized capabilities, data quality, and innovative solutions of both Truescope and Telum Media. They can track who is covering their issues, assess how that coverage evolves, and connect with the appropriate journalists—all within a single workflow. This consolidation saves time and enhances success rates,” he concluded.
