Dubai is a captivating destination with its blend of modern marvels and rich traditions. Here are some key points to keep in mind to make your trip to Dubai seamless and enjoyable.
Respect the Local Culture
Dubai is a city deeply rooted in Islamic traditions. Respect the local customs by dressing modestly, especially in public places like malls and markets. Avoid public displays of affection, which can be considered offensive.
Choosing Your Accommodation
Accommodation in Dubai ranges from budget-friendly to ultra-luxurious. Research the best hotels to stay in Dubai to find one that suits your needs and preferences. Properties such as Paramount Hotel Midtown offer convenient access to attractions and amenities.
Climate and Best Time to Visit
Dubai has a desert climate, meaning it’s hot most of the year. The best time to visit is between November and March when the weather is cooler. Pack lightweight clothing, but also bring a jacket for cooler evenings.
Transportation Tips
Dubai’s public transportation system is efficient and affordable. The metro is a convenient way to get around the city, with stops at major attractions. Taxis are also readily available and reasonably priced. Consider getting an NOL card for easy access to the metro, buses, and trams.
Staying Safe and Legal
Dubai is known for its safety, but it’s important to follow local laws. Avoid consuming alcohol in public places and only drink in licensed venues. Drugs are strictly prohibited, and possession can lead to severe penalties.
